I'm using my Windows 11 PC with a 5070 Ti and DisplayPort, hooked up to Studio Display. Works perfectly! Make sure you plug the USB-C end into the port with the thunderbolt icon, otherwise nothing happens. Also, studio display speakers aren't recognised, but using the headphone jack on your PC will work.

After weeks of trying different solutions, I finally got the device working. In fairness to this product, it was my own fault and not that of the cable. The external psu I was using was powerful enough to boot the device but not to run content. I changed it for a laptop psu and it works absolutely fine Below is my original review ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have a Dell C1422H portable monitor. The monitor has 2x USB-C ports that both support Alt Mode DP1.2. I have plugged a power adapter into one port, which does power on the device, and this product into the other port. The outputting video is display port via an RTX 3070 graphics card. The device constantly outputs no signal. If anyone can point out my error I’d be grateful however as far as I can see the cable does not work as intended

Normally cable are high quality having bought many from this brand however this particular item is extremely difficult to remove as display port comes with a little button that you are supposed to press , extremely tricky and requires massive amount of physical strength

Works with a MSI MP161 E2 portable monitor and a 5070 Ti! Was having issues with flickering when using HDMI (seems to be a common issue due to Nvidia drivers) so I was looking for a cable that does DisplayPort to USB-C bi-directionally and this one was just plug and play! If you're buying this for a similar purpose, make sure your monitor accepts DisplayPort 1.2a signals with Alt Mode via USB-C and has another USB-C for power (since this cable won't deliver power obviously). I'll update this post if I encounter any issues, but so far so good and thankfully no more flicker!

Very hard to find cable, at least for this cheap. My use case is connecting a PC with a GPU (rtx4070) to a USB C monitor after the mini HDMI port came loose. I'm not quite ready to try learning how to surface mount solder a HDMI port onto a PCB for the first time on an otherwise working 1440p 144hz monitor, so thought I'd try this first. You will need a separate source of power to connect a USB C monitor to a dedicated GPU if you are trying to do something similar but luckily mine has two USB C ports so no problems there. Of course, the USB C port must also be displayport compatible as well. Check the manual for whatever appliance you intend to plug this into if you want DP output > USB C input. It should work fine as a standard USB C > DP cable too, that's not what I bought it for though. Not sure what the maximum refresh rate is, but my monitor is 144hz@1440p and it has no problem with that

This cable is perfect for my Nvidia equipped Lenovo Legion gaming laptop. The laptop has only a HDMI port and Nvidia don't allow G-Sync over HDMI. Like most newer laptops with USB-C, higher end models enable DisplayPort over it too for external displays. I can't speak for other laptops, but on Lenovo's Legion series the DisplayPort (as well as the HDMI to be fair) can be switched to run directly off the Nvidia GPU. Make sure hybrid graphics mode is off in BIOS and re-boot. G-Sync appear right away and works like a charm at my monitors 1440P 165Hz refresh rate and with HDR all intact. Two cheaper cables I bought didn't work, but this one did. Highly recommended so thank you Amazon!

Me pasé al Bi-Directional después de que el otro cable de Amazon Basics (el Unidirectional con conectores grises) me dejara tirado a las dos semanas. Y la verdad es que ha sido un acierto. Lleva ya casi un año enchufado a mi MacBook y un monitor 4K de 27", y funciona como el primer día. Lo conecto y desconecto varias veces al día porque me muevo con el portátil, y antes con otros cables notaba que al cabo de unos meses empezaban los problemas. Este ni se inmuta. Tiene un clip en el conector del DisplayPort que hace que quede bien fijado en el monitor y no se suelte. Ojo que si tu monitor tiene el puerto un poco hundido, puede costar un poco sacarlo, pero para mí eso es más ventaja que inconveniente. De los mejores cables que he tenido para esta conexión. Y mira que he ido cambiando cada medio año.
