Safale - 2353X6 US-05 (Six Packages, 11.5 g ea)

Great product - used to make Pale Ale and then an American Barley Wine (2nd use). Very clean and neutral fermentation. Be sure to use two packets for 5 Gallon batch. Aerate on 2nd use for optimum yeast growth for strong beers.

My husband is a home brewer and this process can’t be beat. Works great for his brew kits. It’s a better process than buying with the online brew supply companies.

After years of using, recovering, storing dozens of liquid ale and lager yeasts and samples, I finally had enough, 2 refrigerators and still not enough room, and some samples going bad or suffering flavor changes.... dumped all the liquid yeasts, started stocking dry yeasts, which last much longer, are Less Expensive, and take up MUCH less room! And US-05 has been the most common, "Go to" ale yeast, easy to use, pretty much Neutral flavor profile, clears well. Buying 10 packs at a time for half the cost of WLP001 or WY1056 with very similar results. AND for the price, I'm not even tempted to repitch slurry, as a new pack is less than $5 in bulk. IF I was gonna only use ONE yeast for homebrew beer, US-05 would likely be the one, but fortunately, we don't have to make that choice... ;)

This is an excellent strain of used for a lot of beer styles. The package arrived quickly and I have not had a packet of yeast not function well. This is my second purchase of this year‘s strain from Amazon. I recommend it.

I typically use Safale US-05 when I home brew pale ales and IPAs. The expiration dates from this purchase were well into the future. All six yeasts packets where marked with an expiration date of April 2022 and I'm very please with the results they have produced. The fermentation typically starts within 12 hours and is quite vigorous. Delivery was fast and the price is less that other home brew sites.

I use this all the time. For IPAs and bigger beers, I just pitch two packets. For Pale and smaller, just one will do. I also use this for my American Light Ale (similar to an American Light Lager, but an ale). At 65F, it has a really clean and complete fermentation now adding any phenols or too fruity of flavors. This is a great, easy to use yeast. Just sprinkle on the work, and let it do it's thing.

I usually go through East pretty quickly, so I thought ordering in bulk might be a better value. However I noticed the expiration dates on these packs were only a year in the future, whereas normally they're two or three. Otherwise great value for the money
