Modern Translation: YES!

This was such a great modern translation! I read the modern and original translation side by side. I teach Brit lit to high school students and this really helped me ensure they understood the plot.

Good for the basics but missing the best jokes

The translation is pretty good but the subtle humor could be better explained. Also, Shakespeare makes a lot of d*ck jokes that aren’t translated which is a shame.

This no fear version has made Shakespeare accessible to my kids. It had the original text on one side and a current translation on the facing page. Best thing for students!
