Age of Dragons: Dragon Dojo Brotherhood, Book 4

Really good but...
The story's scope and the battles keep getting grander and more violent. Some of the villains bite the dust and there is more danger lying ahead for our heroine. There's just one thing I didn't like and it was the incredibly random happenings in the last battle that put Rory in more danger than it was logical. I almost stop reading after the second missile and the rock and the chains, but thankfully the ending was just as rewarding as I had hoped. Now for the next book I need Rory to completely destroy her enemies or at least the more hated ones.

I love this series.
Well the author really, but this series is amazing. The growth of the characters is something I look forward to, since it's been so well done so far. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Another great addition
I absolutely love this story. This was amazing and so action-packed. We get to see a different side of many of our characters which is awesome. There's of course times when they kick ass and take names. And unfortunately we do see some loss. I can't wait for the next book.

Still Okay
I truly love the ideas that this series explores: from dragon gods of legend, to the fulfilled prophecy of someone worthy receiving the gods powers, to how a myth turned reality now copes in a complicated newworld of dragon politics. Solid ideas but the execution lacks. I have read all 5 books that are out in the series and I feel the same for each of them. I kept hoping with such amazing ideas that somehow the story itself would improve, but unfortunately I don’t see improvement, all I see is stagnation. The Heroine is still unshakably certain in her own abilities. Even the first time she shifts into a dragon she feels invincible. It was silly of her to become offended when it was suggested to her that she not shift during the battle because she has not trained in her dragon form enough to not become a liability. Training her whole life as a human assassin means she’s adept as a human, not as a dragon. I finally thought she had some semblance of common sense when she did come into the battle in her dragon form after she was hurt but then just demonstrated her power to intimidate her enemies but didn’t actively engage. I mentally celebrated her rise in IQ but then of course I found I celebrated too early. Of course the Heroine jumps in to save the day, and of course she fights like she was never injured, and of course she fights against warrior dragons and beats them like she has always fought in her dragon skin, and of course she gets captured again, and then of course she finds even more physical and magical reserves inside herself to beat the worlds greatest assassin.I find myself not as invested in competing this series. I still give this series and this book 3 stars due to the clever ideas that incepted this book but not how this book was actually written. I give credit to the ideas and imagination of this author but not the actual finished product. I just don’t think I care enough about these characters to wait month after month for each installment. I understand if this is an unpopular opinion but it’s how I feel nonetheless. I wish I liked it more.

Yes Olivia Ash! YES!
Let's just take a moment of silence for the moment that we all have been waiting for. I love Jace. Jace is my favorite. And finally...finally...we see them both accept the connection, the bond, the attraction that is between them! This book sets it up at the very beginning and I was hungry for the moment it would finally happen! I'm so happy!Irina...poor Irina. I love her and I want to see more of her. Perhaps even her own spin off series? A girl can dream.Levi, Drew, and Tucker. Yummy. Delicious. And all things sweet. I adore these characters and even more so in this book. We finally are reaching a point in the series where the bonds are starting to settle and that is my favorite part in a series. Now we get to see them work in tandem together. We see them start growing together. It's going to be beautiful.I want more of this series. I want it soon! Love this series!Overall: 5/5
