The box that I received has an unpleasant cheap factory type smell. The lid and pegs are shorter and the wood doesn't look as nice. It also has a large advertising sticker on the top. The wood has an unpleasant texture. I wish it was varnish. It bothers me to think that maybe this company thinks that the visually impaired wouldn't notice if they got something different than what is pictured.I gave it two stars because as a tool for learning braille it is useful, if you can get past the smell and texture.

This is light, portable, fun and easy to use as you learn the Braille alphabet

I would highly recommend the Braille Box, my grandson is bilingual and this will helphim with his phonics in English and Spanish (ma,me,mi,mo,mu etc.) Totally awesome.

Great tool for newly blind person learning logistics of beginning to learn Braille. Touch learning encourages ownership, control and envisioning placement. Good product!
