I use a size 10 walking boot and therefore decided to get the XL size crampon. Although the item was sent quickly, I didn’t coming with any fitting instructions, but the item description on amazon had photos and a fitting guide - so I used that. They were pretty easy to fit, although it took me a couple of attempts to work out how to fit the retaining strap, but I got there in the end.The fit was good and when I put the boots on I didn’t feel as if the crampons were squeezing my feet - the boots were still a good fit And comfortable. As it’s September, and I bought these planning for winter hikes, there isn’t any snow or ice around to give them a real good field test. Instead I walked around the garden for about an hour. The crampons were comfortable and didn’t slip at all. I looked at the spikes after the walk (photo attached) and they hadn’t suffered any damage and none had been bent back. Result.They also come with a handy tie top bag and the spikes don’t stick out the sides.Overall I am more than happy with these and look forward to giving them a real test this winter.

Bought them to fit my New Rock's and be able to walk on the slippery ice when snows.I'm a size 39 EU, purchased the size L and they fit perfectly even if they're thick boots.The rubber is hard and stretchy - well made so takes a bit to put them on but they do fit. I haven't tried them on trainers or a different shoe yet but as far as they were fitting the boots I'm okay with it.The grips are sharp, solid and don't fall either which was my fear so is a plus as there are no chances of losing them while walking.Highly recommended as they do the job plus they look cool on these boots.

Reviewing a product such as this when the temperatures outside are still pleasantly warm isn’t easy, and our freezer isn’t quite large enough to construct a slope inside to test them out. However, I’ve done a lot of ice walking and climbing in the past, and have needed crampons just to get around where we live, so it was easy to make comparisons.Firstly, they certainly seem well made. Stainless steel for the grippers means no worries about rusting or gradual failures. They take a great deal of weight even standing on stone, so they’re going to be pretty good on ice and snow.Secondly, the fastening system is very good. These are not ’step in’ crampons, such as professional ice climbers might use, but they’re easy to fit to boots. The metal chains and points are all fastened to a closed loop Thermoplastic Elastomer, which retains elasticity down to extremely low temperatures. The loop stretches to go over the boot and, when allowed to close, seats the spikes and chains neatly across the boot’s walking surfaces.They also supply a strongly made pair of Velcro straps which should be used to increase tension on the fitting and ensure no movement is possible.Balling: unless you’ve used crampons in the snow and ice, you probably won’t be familiar with this phenomenon. Balling is when the snow and ice underfoot adheres to the points and forms ‘balls’ of frozen water, which gradually reduce the grip of the crampon. To prevent this, anti-balling plates are available which can be fitted inside the crampon. However, it’s important to point out these are not included.The other aspect is forward toe spikes. For the price it's unreasonable to expect them, but the lack of forward toe spikes means the promised 'climbing of an ice waterfall' is impractical.In summary, therefore, these are easy to use, easy to fit, strong spiked crampons which are ideal for walking across snow and ice covered surfaces. Their price is exceptionally low but they would be very suitable for walking and some limited climbing.

Great product, use these for when I need to Hike with my bike, good grip on steep rock and soil, also really good quality won’t be easy to break. Easy to slip on and off and a great little bag to store them in.

Amazing a simple yet effective product that sits well on my boots and makes walking on ice a simple process,These are perfect for a hike up Ben Nevis and are a must have but if kit and easy to store in a backpack with the supplied carry bag.Perfect

I got these crampons to make the winter hikes more versatile. I did not have chance Of using them on snow but I am looking forward to winter. They look solid and easy to fix in any shoe. Good for winter walkers not looking for profesional day out equipment.

I got these to help with walking in the ice and sno. I know I'm being optimistic, but having been caught out two years ago and having to screw self tapping screws into some wellie boots I thought this was safer and more convenient.They appear to be very well made and the spikes are very sharp, we will have to see how they perform on ice this winter but I am very hopeful.

The product is easy to put on I use it on boots or running shoes for hogs on the ice. They work well and have survived a full season of ware and running on snow, ice, asphalt, trail, and forest.

Compré estos crampones para usarlos en rutas con zonas heladas, principalmente, donde en muchas ocasiones alternan las zonas de hielo duro y resbaladizo con otras de hielo débil, derretido en gran parte, que inevitablemente hacen que tu pie se hunda incluso llevando raquetas para hielo.Cuando me llegaron, me los probé con zapatillas, no con botas, puesto que son válidos tanto para suelas rígidas como flexibles, con lo que los hace muy versátiles en función del terreno y la climatología de la travesía. El problema es que a pesar de haber solicitado la talla M (la habitual de mi calzado) me estaba tan apretado que me acababa haciendo daño en el pie. Lo cierto es que (como aparece en una de las fotos del artículo), la elección de talla que ofrece el formulario de compra no es la correspondiente a tallas europeas. Contacté con el vendedor, le comenté el problema y lo solucionaron rápidamente enviándome la talla correcta. Muy amables y comprensibles los vendedores.Una vez solucionado el problema de la talla (me facilitaron una L) el crampón se ajustó como un guante a la zapatilla, sin molestias y con facilidad.Al haber poco hielo en la fechas que los he probado con zapatillas sobre terreno rocoso y resbaladizo. Mi experiencia con ellos es positiva, puesto que dentro de un precio muy ajustado, son cómodos, fáciles de poner y, lo más importante, tienen buen agarre.Pros- Ligeros- Fáciles de poner- Para calzado con suela rígida o flexible- Buen agarre- Buena relación calidad/precioContras- A la fecha no le encuentro problemas, salvo el del formulario de selección de talla, que no muestra la talla europea, sino (supongo) la asiática.

Très simple à mettre en place, pas de clips ou autre il suffit de les enfiler sur ses chaussures en suivant le sens indiqué directement dessus, c'est très intuitif.J'ai suivi le guide des tailles trouvé sur les photos et ca taille très bien pour ma part ( taille L pour une pointure 43 ).Pas encore eu l'occasion de tester en conditions mais ca l'air solide !
