Good specialty knife for the price
This is a great knife for big jobs, and even the home kitchen has a few. If you need to cut a whole head of cabbage or a winter squash, this modestly priced knife will do it. I am looking forward to watermelon season. I have not had it long enough to comment on how it holds an edge but it was reasonably sharp on arrival; it arrived on time and in good condition. It is comfortable to hold and easy to clean. It is a BIG knife for big jobs and is not a good choice for peeling garlic or boning Cornish Game hens.

Great knife at low price
Not a fancy knife, but very sharp, cuts great, durable edge, good handle, lightweight, ergonomic. Every bit as good and functional in the kitchen as much fancier expensive knives. I now prefer using this knife over my 12 inch Henckels five star, and you could buy about 10 of these for the price of that one Henckels.

Great Professional Quality Chef knife
I am so far very pleased with this chef knife. I like the weight and feel of it in my hand. It is sharp, but not razor sharp. The blade is of a good thickness which makes it not flimsy and bendable like so many lower costing knives. The price point for such a good quality knife of its size, I believe would be hard to bet. So far so good. I would definitely recommend this knife to anyone looking for a quality yet inexpensive well balanced 12 inch chef knife.

Unbelievable performance
I had an old (50 years)stainless steel kitchen knife with a seratted edge. It was demoted to the shop when we did a new kitchen. I used it for many years to cut up boxes and cut flowers from the yard. It was inexpensive. made in the 1970's. With covid I had more boxes from amazon. The old knife just wouldnt keep a sharp edge. I bought the Mercer 12 inch from amazon just to cut boxes. In the event it isthe best knife of its type I have ever owned and I have a lot of expensive knives in the kitchen. The plastic handle is a little small for my hand (i'm a large man.) The edge it holds is truely unbelieveable. I resharpen half as often as any of my others and use it twice as often. The price was unbelievable also.
