A very nice, light, high visibility helmet
I bought this helmet as I am a bicycling commuter who has a 16 mile round trip commute every day through a very urban environment. My old helmet was black, had a built in brim, had removable padding on the inside, and was heavy. After a while, through my own sweat, the snaps for the removable padding rusted and broke and thus the padding was almost useless. I found that it was time to change hats.I bought this helmet because I liked the shape, and I bought the titanium color because of the reflectablity that I assumed was in the color. I was pretty right on and enjoy the fact that the color is more noticeable than black. Also enjoy the removable brim, though I will probably keep it off. Having a brim is pretty useful when it is raining, as the brim will direct the water away from falling into your eyes. But I rode last week during the rain, without the visor, and was fine.I also like how light this hat is. I know that we are getting down into the oz's when talking about weight, but on longer rides, and if riding everyday, it does become noticeable. I'm glad I don't have a huge weight sitting on my head. Also, the fit is perfect. I never tried this brand on in the store so I took a chance at using the measuring tables here and measuring my own noggin. I guess I measured correctly as the fit is very snug, but not tight. Having a snug fit that will prevent your hat from moving around is critical. Also, the straps are very durable as well. On my last hat the straps would come loose and were hard to cinch tight again and was very annoying. I don't think I will have a problem with this helmet. My only complaint are the small graphics on the back of the helmet. I wish this item had pictures of the back. I don't think it would change my mind on buying this helmet, but I wasn't expecting the neon green pattern. It's not a big deal, and nothing to mark a star off, but still. I guess I don't care how I look when I ride, but I think other buyers might be. So, if you are going to buy this helmet, go to another sight that has more pictures and make your decision.Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Fits Well, Looks Sharp, Lightweight, Comfortable
I write this from the perspective of someone who has not crashed or otherwise tested the safety qualities of this product. Let's hope I never do. But from my experience wearing it, it's a very comfortable, well-fitting helmet that looks sharp.Fit: The plastic cage inside the helmet is adjustable in three positions near the front of the helmet. Elastic holds the assembly snug around the back of the head, near the neck. I find the elastic is easier to work with and more comfortable than the knob that clicks. It stays in position even if I whip my head around, look down or sit up suddenly. And it fits with the bulky temple pieces on my prescription sunglasses.Comfort: Very lightweight compared to other helmets with fuller coverage and less ventilation, like this one. The removable visor is a nice touch. An alternate piece of cushioning is provided to replace the visor, and it goes on in a flash with velcro. Easy. The clasp on the chin strap is one of the easiest to open and close with one hand. There aren't adjustments for the straps around the ear, but they fit, so I was not concerned. Those with unusually shaped ears might not agree.Style: I have a large head, and most ladies' models do not fit. Men's helmets are, well, manly-looking. I bought the cyan/white retro, which looks feminine enough for my taste and suits the bike. I ride a retro-styled comfort cruiser, and the usual ventilated street-racing helmet style just didn't look right with that relaxed style of bike. It doesn't make a statement like the nutcase helmets, but I actually prefer that it just do its job with a minimum of fuss.I would buy it again and recommend it to others.

Visor Issue
Helmet looks fine. But the visor is not.... the stitch is so off.

Stylish lightweight safety solution for the urban cyclist - which size should one pick if yr head is a borderline 55cm ?
StylishContemporaryLightweight 260gSafety solution for the Urban cyclist (meets US safety stds for pedal cyclists, skateboarders, etc)Reasonably priced for the masses at around the discounted $26-$62 mark during Christmas sales.Wide array of colours to suit your preference. The REVERB is intended for the urban cyclist who meanders along backroads, city lanes, suburban streets and esplanades rather than the mountain cyclist downhiller or road racer.Q to ask is WHICH SIZE should one pick FOR THE BORDERLINE HEAD 55cm - when the Reverb sizing places you right in between Small and Medium, where:Getting the Small helmet at 51-55cm could potentially be too tight depending on the cut of the helmet and design as, my head would be filling it to maximum capacity without any further room to move. The benefit otoh could well be that it fits perfectly.Getting the Medium 55-59cm helmet otoh means I utilize the minimum capacity where the helmet could potentially be loose and rolling about during the trip or when I jolt my head.Dilemma - in the end I took a chance and chose the Small rationalizing that a good snug fit is more important than one that is loose.SO HELMET ARRIVES...it's a new cost effective design in every way, most notably its elastic strap. It's a snug perfect fit alright with the straps cupping my head nicely so that was a good call. Even when I roll my head around with helmet unstrapped, it stays securely on my head without being uncomfortable as it is sufficiently padded (not generously but extra buffer pads are provided) The only complaint is that the helmet sits very high on my head and being used to the traditional, the lower back of the head felt exposed. I found myself wondering if Medium would have been a better fit as it would presumably sit further down my head and I briefly entertained the thought of returning the small.Love the cloth visor which softens the look likening it to a baseball cap. The colours suit the young and contemporary pallette. However, on first impressions at unboxing, the matte white did not exude the quality look per the web photos. After 2 days of deliberation, I've decided to keep the small after all, on grounds of its secure snug fit and feel. Despite the high cut, at the front the visor sits just above my eyebrow, at mid section is 1.25" above my ear and at the back the edge of the helmet levels to the top of my ear. However the helmet appear to protect all the key points of the head eg forehead, back of head at the max protrusion and both sides. The only "exposure" is 1) the back of head from mid to lower section and 2) the 1-1.5" gap above the ears which at this stage is a little disconcerting, if one compares it with the traditional designs.First ride update: Love it. It feels so natural and light you won't know it's there apart for the very noticeable wind noise when going downhill/fast - never had wind noise before in other helmet. This is my third helmet in 13 years and it has the snuggest fit - just hope the elastic won't loosen with time. We shall see. Watch this space for updates.
