Sylvania 20888 Compact Fluorescent 4 Pin Triple Tube 3000K, 42-watt

Couldn't find this replacement bulb at any of the major hardware stores (and one tried to sell me a new light fixture instead of helping me find what I needed). A couple of clicks on Amazon and within minutes I found not only the bulb I needed, but all the acceptable alternates, too! This vendor (Econotone, Inc.) had the bulbs in my hands within a couple of days and they worked out perfectly!I wouldn't hesitate ordering from these folks again.

This replaced the bulb in the fan/nightlight/light fixture in my bathroom. It works perfectly. The price was reasonable. I have added this to my "wishlist" on Amazon, so I can find it again easily next time. Initially I had a hard time figuring out what model I could use to replace my old bulb.

I was replacing a bulb for an outdoor security light. This one wasn't anywhere near as bright as the old one. Technically I should have read the light output; however all of them that I researched after the fact were the same. BE sure to read the light output.

I did respond earlier, but I can say more if you wish. The lightbulb itself fits the unusual socket (four pins and a central cube of plastic with lock ears) It took some serious pressure, but it finally locked and the bulb lights up. Life should be at least 2 years, but I can't tell at this time. I also bought a spare and put it in the closet. Like any other fluorescent it starts out dim, but gets to full output in a few minutes.The nice people at Econotone originally erred and sent me the wrong bulb. However, they gladly corrected the mistake and even paid the return postage. I am quite pleased with their service.

The light bulbs were perfect. Sylvania seems to make the same bulbs in Germany or China. The bulbs I received were from Germany which is what I wanted. I was replacing Sylvania bulbs made in China because the color of the light varied slightly even though they were all the same model number. It was noticeable to me. The German bulbs must have tighter tolerances because all the bulbs had the exact same color. I am using these bulbs to light up a large house at night and it was very important to have a uniform color. These bulbs did an excellent job. Thanks!!

It fits. Why do they install these in houses, it's a pain and they're more expensive than regular bulbs.

This was easy to purchase. Last time we needed this bulb I had to special order it from a lighting store and paid a lot more. This way it came right to our door and was fast shipping as well. So easy and saved money as well!

Lasted 6 months....trying another one, maybe I got a dud. If so, plan to swap for led fixture.
