Lasting curls/ volume that looks great
I have straight hair. Hard to curl and was tired of using hot appliances. These are so easy to use. It takes us three packs of these to do my hair..Do not use with bonnet hair dryer. It will shorten the life of the roller. These are the steps used:1) hair is damp but not wet and has been treated with setting lotion of choice. ( I use Nexxus Hot Spray and a touch of Dippity Do).If hair starts to dry, spritz with water.2) part hair into sections and into chunks of hair that are no more wide or thick as a roller. Roll. The point is to get them to set right on top of where the hair is coming out of the scalp to get the most fullness.3) I let them air dry for 4 to 5 hours. Yes they are soft enough to sleep in.4) I put a light dusting of medium hold brushable finishing spray on the curls once the rollers are removed. A few minutes later fluff with my fingers or a pick.5) Then I carefully use a firm hold finishing spray being careful to put it both under and on top of the curls but not so heavy that it makes the hair wet.6) that can last for 6 days but of course it morphs into different kinds of styles starting from curlier to over the days less curl but more body.Great alternative to getting perms when you don't really want to do that to your hair.

Love these little curlers!
I like these -- simple idea, works well, curl lasts at least 2 days. Easy to roll up and then twist to hold. You can roll your hair tight, or loose -- with a lot of hair or with small segments. There are 18 in this set, so unless you have a lot of thick long hair, this should be enough!I couldn't tell they were in my hair when I wore them to bed. I didn't have any problem with them coming out during the night. You do have to make sure the wire twisted well. Also, you will need to straighten them out, put them back into shape, make sure the wire ends are tucked in close so they don't poke out of the fabric. If your curlers are ripping open the cheap-o fabric after just a couple wears, then consider making sure you are tucking in the sharp wire ends! Also, if you wrap them tight, from the end up to your scalp, you are going to have tight, Shirley Temple curls -- which is fine if that is what you are going for! Otherwise, wrap 'em loose and not up to the scalp. You'll look like you have little snow balls on your head with your hair wrapped!! Sometimes I put my hair in a pony tail and just wrap pieces of the pony in the curlers. Really easy, quick and looks great in the morning! You can get these at your local CVS for about $10 in NY. I never noticed them before -- they are rather under-advertised. I think these are good for styling/ protecting your hair from heat. I bought a second package to have on hand. All this praise said: this is V E R Y cheaply made. It's just a piece of foam with a wire through it, and covered in the cheapest white material ever made. Seriously... I do not want to think about the sweat shop conditions this product was made.

Works for people with shorter hair
Like other people have stated, this product isn't for people with long hair. I created small enough sections but the length of my hair kept it from creating the curl overnight. I sprayed my hair with a bit of water to make it slightly damp and used some hairspray, and when I went to take the rollers out my hair was somewhat frizzy and only curly in some places.By mid-day, the curls had mostly fallen out. For reference, I have fine hair, but a lot of it (redhead). In some places the curl stayed, but it wasn't enough for me to be happy with this product. I'm sure it works fine for those with shorter hair but take it as a warning, longer than shoulder-length hair - you may have a problem! However, I will say that they were extremely easy to put in and soft enough to sleep in. I had no issues falling asleep with them in and forgot I had them in the morning.

These work, but don't achieve the curls I want
I have fine, medium length hair and am looking for a heatless curler that will achieve a wand curl look (soft, "beachy" waves that add volume). I'm not opposed to heat, but find that my hair does not hold a heated curl for long. These Conair pillow curlers are pretty easy to use and not terribly uncomfortable to sleep in, but in the end the curl is too tight and too unpredictable to achieve the curl I'm looking for.For what it's worth, I tried these using a slightly different method over 3 nights. My best luck was when my hair was very nearly dry and I had heat dried it with some voluminizing mousse the night before. I styled my hair how I would want it to fall first. Then I wrapped my hair starting at/near the root, following with the rest around the curler, taking good care to keep my hair flat (NOT twisting the hair, which ended up very frizzy the next day). Taking a larger 2-3" bunch of hair helped the curls to end up softer and more uniform. If you are looking for a more classic, very tightly curled look, these are a great option and work as expected.

Conair Pillor Soft Curlers - Horrible product
I am surprised that Conair has their name on this cheaply made product. Comfort - yes - but length of time that they can be used - very short!!! I bought these August 11 on Amazon and already the wires have come through the cloth and leave little to twist to secure the roller. I love the idea but not the product.

Best choice for fine, thin hair.
Soft, comfortable rollers give tight curls without any hair breakage. Rollers on the small side. Best results when used on damp, not wet hair, allowed to dry without heat. Curls give volume to thin hair.

The rollers did give me nice curlers however the curls didn't last all day (I even used a texturizing spray). I wouldn't say it was worth what I paid (the shipping cost was high).

Don’t buy them
The pillow rollers don’t hold and easily fall out. Not worth the money.
