I have to agree with most of the other reviews. The stories are inspirational and well written. There are lessons to be learned from each of them. I can see how it would spark a parent child conversation.BUT the title suggests and audience between the ages of 5 and 8. In my opinion the appropriate age for enjoying this book would perhaps start at 8 but definitely not younger. The child needs certain life experiences to fully understand the messages in these stories and the younger ones simply don't have it yet.

I enjoyed reading this to my almost 5-year-old for the first half of the book. Then is started telling stories that were scary with animals dying and children nearly falling into pits and whatnot. We wanted a nice upbeat inspiring book without pictures to read at bedtime once the lights are out, not so much.

Great stories to share. My children are kindergarten and 3rd grade and they enjoy it equally.

This is a great book! Our family enjoys reading these stories together. Heartfelt and uplifting. :)

I read this with my 8-year-old daughter. She really enjoyed these stories! If you are a fan of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books, this one will nor disappoint!

Great book! My 6 year old son and I have been enjoying spending time together every night reading a few stories in this book before bed.

This is a great book to share with our youth. I like to read out of it to my 4th graders at church. The stories keep their attendtion, always followed by discussion. It is definitely a book for the personal library!

My daughter loves the stories. She is only 4 but its her favorite book. Stories teach valuable lessons but are short enough to keep the children's attention.
