For activities not requiring an N95 medical-grade face mask, yet conducted in public places where good fresh-air circulation is not available, I wanted a thin, elastic, and washable mask for double masking.Although this kind of mask is by itself inefficient for coronavirus protection as discussed in #5 below, it seems suitable for wearing over an earloop mask (like those KN95s tested by NIOSH and included in the FDA's emergency use authorization list) for double masking. My primary interests are : [ i ] achieving a better inner-mask fit to the face by the outer-mask's elasticity, and [ ii ] protecting the inner mask from aerosolised saliva droplets expelled by people, and from flushing plumes in public toilets (the large majority of which lack lids), plumes which can rise several feet up in the air above the seat.1. As indicated by the Product Certificate tag included in each bag, these masks are made by the Yanhong Clothing Co. in Yueqing, China, an ODM/OEM manufacturer. (Voncasen, listed as the manufacturer in this Amazon page, is a trademark of the seller, Weike Industry Co. in Shenzhen.) See the certificate, along with its translation from Chinese, in an attached figure.2. Its fabric, called ice cotton by this seller and ice silk by others, is simply 91.5% polyester and 8.5% spandex. The production certificate claims compliance with the FZ/T73049-2014 Chinese standard for masks made mainly from knitted fabrics. The ones I received were made in December 2020 and have a one-year validity period; the seller claims that they can be washed "about 20 times" -- but other sellers offering here exactly the same mask, like this one , do not mention this washing limitation.3. Folded in half and lying flat, the mask has a curved midline profile following almost, but not quite, an 83.5° arc of a circle, whose center is marked by an asterisk in another figure displaying other relevant dimensions as well. The fabric can be stretched horizontally by about 1", but not at all vertically as its heat-melted midline edge is rigid. The midpoint of each earloop has a length of about 4"/10 cm at rest and 10"/25 cm fully stretched; earloop tension is adjustable by a small silicone-like retainer.4. The horizontal extent of this mask goes beyond the left/right edges of most KN95s, and enhances lateral edge fitting when used as the outer mask in double masking. Its vertical extent is shorter than that of most KN95s, so it does not cover simultaneously their top and bottom edges. Nonetheless, it adds pressure on the lower part of the nose bridge and the tip of the chin, thus helping to keep the inner mask in place when talking or bending the head downwards.5. This mask lacks the electrostatically-charged layer (extruded melt blown polypropylene) of multiple-ply masks with 95%+ efficiency, a layer that captures particles down to 0.3 µm and critical to filter out viruses. Further, there are big leaks of *exhaled* air when using only this thin mask, which also lacks a nose clip for nose-bridge fitting -- the leaks are evidenced by feeling air movement on the face, rapid fogging of eyeglasses, and lack of air pressure building up inside the mask upon exhalation. Moreover, there are also noticeable leaks of *inhaled* air close to the nose bridge. Thus, thanks to all such leaks, the mask by itself feels comfortable because it filters less, but provides a rather poor protection to others from your exhaled aerosolized droplets, and to you from the droplets of them. Do NOT use it as a single mask..

I bought these masks to replace my disposable masks as these cotton masks are reusable and cost-effective. I use three masks every day in my workplace and I have found these masks are much more comfortable than the disposable ones. Since I have 10 of them, I wash the used ones every two days so I can always use clean masks every time. So far I love the cotton masks a lot.

Tried a million different masks over the year and I love these the most for all weather conditions! Definitely my favorite for Warmer temperatures/outdoor activities bc it’s lightweight and easy to breathe. Best for not producing acne on my teens face too

These mask where small and I could not adjust them around the ears. They were to small.I sent them back for a refund.

This is a great product that is breathable! I love that it is the adjustable ear straps and works for all sizes of big kids and adults!

Smelled like cat pee when I got them. Fine after washing but does rub make up off more than some others I have.
