The It Girl (It Girl Series Book 1)

Okay. I can't express how addictive these books were. I fell in love with the character's, one by one. And I am not surprised, Cecily Van Ziegsaar manages to capture the reader. The books full of twists and turns, it isn't one big cliché. It's oozing with gossip, and it is like a drug that you can't stop taking.Read it and hopefully you'll find it as thrilling as I did.

Not a big reader but got this for a time killer and read through this in a few days. If you like gossip girl you would enjoy this.

The books are fun and quick reads. The constant use of brand names to show how fashionable the girls is a little much for me though...

Well I decided to try this book out after hearing about it from others my age and younger, and also from seeing girls with it everywhere i went. Now after a few chapters I realized that the book is something i would put in the 'Teen trash' category, but something about teen trash just makes you unable to put it down. After all, I am a teen.It's not that the book is well written or has a unique and brilliant story line (because it doesn't), but simply that you can get so caught up in the dilemmas of the characters that you would like to finish the book to see what exactly happens.I really didn't like the main character. I thought her priorities were totally messed up, and all that trouble she's in is definitely her own fault (well 90% of it). But after a while i just had to say to myself that some of my friends are like this and they really and truly don't realize their ridiculousness.What really shocked me was how much the students smoked (cigs and pot). Seriously, they are like chain smokers. The cursing really was no surprise, because, let's face it, I hear it all the time at school.I will be reading the second book for sure, because I honestly want to see what more trouble these characters could possibly get themselves into, and how they'll deal with it. However, when I get tired of the series, I will have no problem putting it down.

This was a great book. I love girls drama books. I really enjoyed and I'm about to purchase the second book.

Barely a plot line, characters aren’t like able, so many name drops of labels and designers crammed in to every single description of clothing, makeup, bags, etc. What a disappointment for fans of Gossip Girl.

Bought for my daughter. She enjoyed the read.

I have watched all of the episodes of gossip girl and I loved it, it was a great show but I have never read any of the gossip girl books. I was having a look at the books and came across the 'it girl' series. I always loved Jenny in the show and I through that it would be a good book, as in the show you don't get to see any of this. Great book loved it defiantly would recommend it and i will be buy the next book in the series.

Not normally a book I would go for but I needed something out of the usual fantasy style novels so I chose this.It girl follows a newbie to Waverly, her name is Jenny and she gets put in a room with two of the most popular girls in the boarding school. She hasn't had the best start though, her stuff has been dropped off in the boys dorm as the school mistakenly thought she was a Mr not a Miss, and to top it off there's already rumors going round that she was a stripper!!It girl follows Jenny and her two roomies Brett and Callie through a short easy read of school drama and bitchiness, and it doesn't stop there.Overall It girl was exactly as expected, the writing was simplistic and whilst I wouldn't say it was great story telling it did keep me somewhat interested, mostly because the characters are all relatable. I did have one little issue though, every page pretty much brings up at least one designer name, It got on my nerves quite a bit but I will let it slide because I liked the chapter titles. I did expect there to be more bitchiness and typical high school banter than what was given but maybe thats all to follow in the next few books to this series.I wouldn't rush to buy the next one but its certainly going to be bought for another light read. Im pretty sure the second one will be a lot more gripping though

The Gossip Girlシリーズを読んでいる方にはお馴染みの登場人物、ジェニーが主人公になって、彼女が全寮制のプレイベートスクールに転向してからのお話し。話しの展開のリズムは、The Gossip Girlと変わらず、ジェニーのワイルドさも変わりません。見所は、新しい環境の中でどうやって自分らしさを見つけていくかっていう姿だと思います。って言っても、あくまでもThe Gissip Girlのノリは変わらないから、そんなディープな話しじゃなく、ジューシーなゴシップも耐えないから、pleasure reading には丁度いい軽さですよ。

Just what I needed hence the rating. I totally get this book as having been at boarding school. I know that everyone wants to fit in however just be yourself and never look back
