The serious cyclist requires a constant supply of water to stay hydrated and achieve optimal performance. For those in search of a lightweight vest with built-in water storage, the Chase bike hydration vest is the ultimate solution. CamelBak’s Chase Bike Hydration Vest has an exceptional minimalist approach to hydration that doesn’t compromise comfort, storage, or performance. Its lightweight design allows you to ride faster and pack lighter by providing convenient storage pockets with plenty of room for critical items. The addition of a stretch overflow pocket allows you to quickly stash or shed a layer while on the road or add a rain shell for those unexpected showers. Hydration from our Chase bike riding vest is supplied by a 1.5-liter Crux reservoir. The design of the Crux reservoir makes it easier to fill, load, and refill during your pit stop. The design delivers 20% more water per sip, keeping you hydrated while you ride. We’ve also added 3D vent mesh for multi-directional air flow and extra cushioning that maximizes breathability and comfort. Additionally, front harness pockets have been added for quicker access, and they’re Quick Stow compatible, allowing you to fit Quick Stow flasks in the front harness pockets. Our Got Your Bak Lifetime Guarantee covers all reservoirs, backpacks, bottles, and accessories from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product. The CamelBak Chase hydration vest weighs 11 ounces and measures 13 x 12.6 x 5.5 inches.

Works as intended - Would like additional color choices
I have been using my Chase for about a year and my husband has been using his a little less than that, so I thought it was time to leave some thoughts on this hydration pack.First, it really is one of the lighter/easier to wear hydration packs that I've tried. I had sworn off ever using one again until I tried this pack because I don't like having things on my person while cycling. It just makes me hot and miserable. This one fits pretty comfortably and I don't mind wearing it. It's still something on my back, but it's tolerable. With that said, I still haven't found quite the right fit on my body. After long rides, I find that I have pain in my armpits for about a week. I tried loosening the pack, but it still has the same results. It's comfortable on shorter rides, but when I wear it on 50+ mile rides, then I start having some issues.Water (even when ice is added to the pack) gets warm (or hot) pretty quickly. With heat coming off my body, I realize this is inevitable, but it's unfortunate because, particularly in warm months, it's nice to have a cold swig of water. I wish Camelbak would remedy this issue in future models. There's a lot of technology to keep water cool (or hot), so it would be nice to have that feature in this hydration system. Both my husband and I are shorter people, and they fit us fine (5'4", 5'2"). I don't know how they'd fit for taller folks, though I assume it would still work but would ride higher on the individual's body (which may not be a horrible thing, particularly for cycling).I use mine primarily while mountain biking or riding our tandem road bike and have ridden about 1500 miles with this pack. I find that it's easy to get water and/or to shut it off, which is fantastic. I do find that even after several washes, the hydration still has that plastic-like taste that just doesn't go away. I'm tempted to try another bladder/nozzle brand to see if I can find one that doesn't hang on to that residue. The pockets on the front are fantastic. I can keep my cell (Android MotoZ, a little over 6" long and a little over 3" wide) in the front pocket and access it if/when needed. I can also store gels or whatever smaller items I may want (like chapstick). The back pockets are also useful, but require removal of the pack in order to access.I would really like to see some additional color choices. When we bought ours, it was black or army/olive green (I do see that red has been added to the current offering), but some additional choices would be welcomed.Someone had asked about fitting a larger bladder in the main compartment. My husband has used a 2L/70oz bladder in his on an endurance cycling event and it *fit* but it was a snug fit. So, it's possible but is dependent on what else one needs to have in the pack and one should be prepared for the zipper to be very difficult to close (he left his slightly open to avoid struggling with it).Overall, I use the pack regularly, but I can still see some room for improvement. Until there's something that keeps the water cold and fits as well or better, I'll be sticking with this. Overall, I'd rate it at 3.5 stars, but am rounding up to 4 since it's so difficult to find a hydration pack that works well in every respect.

Exceptionally versatile pack!
A year ago I was preparing for a 340mi charity bike ride that was mostly gravel with some road mixed in. Knowing that I had 44oz in bottles, this pack would round out to 90ish oz. of water. Well I got more than I was looking for (besides water)! This pack holds a lot of stuff, distributing it across your back and a lot of room surprisingly in the front for quick grab items while riding. It was definitely one of the best options on the market (still is IMHO) for a gravel bike pack. It also works great as a short loop MTB back, and I also use it to run with my wife. It doesn't move around while running, and I can easily carry my phone and keys and other stuff no problem. The material of the backpack that makes contact with your body is super porous and breathable, and the pack itself is really lightweight.I have many hydration packs. Probably well over $500 worth, and this is my go-to pack for most of my riding. I'll go to one of my bigger packs if the MTB ride is longer, but on my gravel bike, no question since I can carry everything I need and it carries enough water to compliment the water bottles I also carry. Definitely not cheap, but probably the best pack on the market in this segment, and when you're putting significant miles on a bike, it pays to have the right equipment.

Fantastic fit and design
My husband is an avid cyclist and loves this hydration pack. It has lots of pockets for storing keys, wallet, and gear. It fits perfectly on his back and he says it is the most comfortable hydration pack he has ever worn.

A comfortable hydration pack with lots of storage options
I got this pack for long distance mountain bike events, and I am quite satisfied with it. Just as a hydration pack, it is good. I haven't had issues with the nozzle leaking, and one handed operation is not too difficult. The valve does take some getting used to, but it didn't take me too long. The clips along the right side to stow the hose while not drinking are a welcome improvement over the last CamelBak I had.As for storage, this thing has got it all. There is a pocket on the left side that I find is perfect for my phone. There is a mesh pocket on the right that is handy for storing nutrition for quick consumption. The large zipper pocket in the back has some smaller pockets and a key clip, and it is bright colored to make finding things inside easy. The only downside is it is easy to overpack because everything fits!I have found that the pack is comfortable to wear, and can be adjusted in many ways to fit how you like it. A lot of times, other than the weight of the water on my back, I don't really notice I'm wearing it while I ride.

Perfect for shorter rides on both mountain and road
I've used Camelbak packs forever for mountain biking. This must be fifth or sixth one now. I needed something small for longer road rides where I need more than one (small) water bottle since I purchased an e-bike for the road and it only has one mount for a small water bottle...lame, but love the bike. This is perfect. It rides above the jersey pockets so I can carry more if I want. Plenty of pocket space for tools, vest or windbreaker, tube, food, etc. And it doesn't move around. Very light, stable, and comfortable. The only minor downside is that water does get warm quicker on hot days than other Camelbak packs since the only thing between the bladder and my back is the mesh material. But I load it up with ice and it's been fine. I've also used it on shorter mountain bike rides where I don't need to carry any protective gear and it's almost like riding with nothing compared to my larger packs. Love it.

Anyone riding gravel, xc, trail or enduro needing a light pack get this!
This pack is brilliant. Enough storage for all the essentials without the bulk of a lot of other Camelbaks. In mine I have got:Left hand pocketTyre boot, glueless patches, tyre levers, co2 canister and head, stans dart tool and an emergency foil blanket.Right hand pocketEnergy bar and gel (room for plenty more)Left hand side zipped pocketMulti tool with chain tool, spare quick link and spare disc padsLeft hand side pocket29er spare tubeZipped main pocketJust my phoneMesh pocketMini pump - still enough room for a gillet or packable waterproof jacketI find the 1.5 litres to be enough for up to three hours riding time. In the unlikely event there will be nowhere to get more water en route then I can always carry more in a bottle on my bike.

Great for biking and running
Been using this for almost 3 months. I use it for both biking and running. It's just the right size to carry water and my EDC essentials.

Was sonst?
