Fisher-Price Imaginext Adventures DC Super Friends Bat Cave

This Batcave basically "won" Christmas 2015 for my son (almost 4 at the time). It is a beauty of a toy in this day and age and I'm almost ashamed to admit how many times I went to our storage closet to just look at it after it was delivered prior to Xmas. For kids of the 80's it will be very reminiscient of Castle Grayskull from MotU. I really scoured the 'net looking for the best possible Batcave and it was down to this one and it's predescessor (the newer transforming one had no appeal to me). I ended up finding this one for around $60 and pulled the trigger and so glad I did. Really sturdy and a ton of nooks and grannies and things to engage the kids. My 6 year old daughter even enjoys it! This is still the focal point of any/all Imaginext super hero playtimes (7 months later). The only annoying thing is the motorcycle door tends to drop down all the time, but that's a minor gripe. I actually don't feel like the pictures of this on-line do it justice...really quality toy. As a comic nerd turned father, I really love the Imaginext toy line...very high quality product in a time when a lot of companies skimp in that area, plus interesting unique takes on comic characters and surprising attention to detail on some of the moulds.

My 6 year old son saved up his money for a very long time with the goal being to purchase the Batcave Imaginext toy. The day it arrived he was so excited to get it open and set up. Once we had everything out and had played with the toy for awhile, I asked him if it was as much fun as he had hoped it would be. His reply to me was "Mom this is the best toy ever." He has played with this toy for the last two weeks everyday. It comes with Batman and Robin so his sister enjoys playing it with him as well. One of the coolest features on it is the elevator. You can place Batman or robin's feet in the red area marked with shoe prints and this allows them to move the elevator up or down three levels. This toy offers so much to help promote imaginative and creative play. Another highlight is that because it is Imaginext brand the characters and accesories can be used with other Imaginext toys. My son has an Imaginext boat and Batman and Robin are able to wear the scuba gear and they fit into the driving area of the boat. This allowed us to further the playing options. This is a fantastic toy and it provides hours of entertainment.

UPDATE: We have now had this 6 years and it is every bit as awesome as day one and has been played with almost every day. Incredible! Thanks, imaginext!Original review:I have a 3 1/2 year old special needs child that absolutely loves this toy. We got it for him for Christmas and he plays with it almost every day. You probably wouldn't consider this to be an "educational" toy...but there are lots of levers and switches and parts on it that move and help teach dexterity, mechanics, physics. It's been so good for him to learn how to manipulate his hands to use all the parts. It is sturdy and well built, as are the accessories for it.I love that it folds up and I can tuck it away in a corner at the end of the day. My son has used it as a garage for cars too...he seriously loves it. Best toy purchase we have ever made.My only wish was that the accessories sold separately weren't quite as expensive. I'd like to get him some more of the "guys" without having to cut an arm off for it.

Santa gave this present to my boys this year for Christmas. My boys are 3 and 7. They both love it and have played with it every day since they received it. It is made well(sturdy) and has so many fun things to do with it. I find myself playing with it too! It comes with Batman and Robin and the batcycle, but there are many fun accessories that you can get to go with the playset too. I got the extras for them, the Batmobile, the Batcopter, and the bad guys (Joker, Mr. Freeze and the Penguin). I love how it folds up for carry and storage. I just wish everything could fit inside it...oh well. Fisher Price has a great line with their Imaginext toys. We have the Dragon Castle and the Dinosaur sets as well. Get this toy! Your kids will love it.

My 6 and 4 year old sons like playing with this toy. There are a lot of fun moving parts and it is fairly compact so it doesn't end up strewn all over the house. The gun that shoots the little projectile is a little finicky and one son accidentally shot himself in the eye while trying to get the projectile loaded. Also one of the gates doesn't stay shut very well but other than that it seems like a good toy!This toy is not really what I would think of as an educational toy. I guess you could stretch it and make it educational if you really wanted to (learning physics with the projectile launch?). I would say this toy more of a driver for imaginative play. Whatever. My kids like it so I like it!

I purchased the Batcave for my Grandson's 5th Birthday. It was unavailable in Australia & Amazon showed the toy in excellent detail. My Grandson has many "Batman" toys & the Batcave seemed the appropriate toy to link them all together for his exuberant imagination. My Grandson has played with his Batcave endlessly. Whether with a friend or by himself this toy brings him great joy. He makes up extraordinary story lines & plays it out with all the different characters in the Batcave. It gives me great pleasure to sit quietly in a corner & watch my little man delve into a whole other place & time. But beware 'don't interrupt'! I would highly recommend this toy for any children who are into Super Heroes. It is a quality made product, delivered in excellent condition & time. Thankyou Amazon.

My 4 year old son plays with this toy daily. Sometimes he will play for up to 45 minutes at a time. It folds up pretty small and has a carrying handle which makes it easier to get out & put away. He absolutely loves it but it's not as durable as I had hoped. For example, the drawbridge seems "loose" and it wont stay closed anymore. Also, the Batman logo is all scratched up too. Despite this, I would still recommend this toy for a little boy.
