Amazing in light
I had an Optoma UHD60 for a few years, using just a sub 300 dollar Elite motorized white screen that dropped down. No tension, at the mercy of the HVAC registers below it that would make it move when the AC or heat was on, or even 10 minutes an hour when the fan simply circulates fresh air.It worked fine with the Optoma, but then I picked up a new Epson LS800. And an UST laser projector on that screen was just annoying. Like watching something projected onto a flag.I went back and forth about this one. I found a nearly identical looking one that would be available in 6 to 8 weeks for nearly a grand less, but I didn't want to wait that long, and I wasn't sure I wanted to use a brand new system that was being released for the first time, and deal with bugs. So I finally sucked it in, pulled the trigger on this pricey thing.Delivery was fine, they came and set it down in my great room where I laid out space for it. I was a bit disappointed the box had NO indication on it of which way was up. Rather, there was one spot that had an arrow that looked like it MAY have been that indicator but it turned out it was pointing in the wrong direction.Unboxing was simple enough, but there's three garbage bags full of styrofoam pieces that were in here. It truly does ship well protected. The screen itself is wrapped in a plastic protective film. That is then in the styrofoam which is inside the cardboard box, which is then again wrapped for protection. Then there's four long protective corner pieces that go the full length, as well as corner protective pieces, and both ends are wrapped yet AGAIN in protective plastic to help hold that protection in place. Then there is the yellow plastic binding straps in six or eight spots. The bottom has two rubber rectangular feet that it will settle on. It came with two remotes, and until you look at the tiny writing on the bottom you don't know which is which, since the owner's manual doesn't say anything about which is white and which is black, and they both look identical other than the color. White one is the RF by the way.I got it in place, raised it up, and was pleased with how fast it raises and lowers. Twice as fast as my wall hung motorized 125" Elite screen.I didn't have any issues with wrinkles or lines with that first opening. I've been leaving it open the last few days just to help make sure everything is stretched out right anyway. What can I say? I was worried about going with a low gain screen, even though my projector does 4000 lumen. But while I have blackout cellular shades everywhere in the house, I don't keep my house dark as midnight, so I wanted something that could handle ambient light well, yet still give me a good picture. With the high lumen output I felt safe using a darker screen, and I really hoped that would help the black levels. And it did. My jaw still hasn't returned to the fully upright position yet in the 2 days I've been playing with this thing. I left the Elite white screen up so I could do half and half photos of this, at various times of the day, with various light levels, to see the difference, and it is simply astounding. Granted, the white screen looks just as good in total darkness for the bright spots, but it can't reproduce the black levels the same. I'll put some pictures here showing both screens, so you can see in different lights just how MUCH of a difference this ALR screen can make.I haven't tried the "beta" USB stick yet - and if it's been a few years why do they still call it beta, unless they simply don't want to have to support it? I'm guessing that it is incompatible with far too many projectors so this way they don't have to do phone calls with people wanting to make it work with their projector. The tension seems to work well. I'm actually using this as a borderless screen, since there are no black spots on the left and right side. I get a tiny bit of curl that last half inch or so from the tension, but it's barely noticeable. I could use a feature on the projector and cut the last half inch or so off the picture via the remote control, but I don't bother.I've been up and down half a dozen times, and it always positions itself correctly. I didn't have to do any adjusting since I actually set this up with the projector placed where it needed to be with the default height. I'm happy. If you have the need for using a UST projector in an area that has some light, this is definitely the way you need to go. I can't wait to remove the Elite screen from the wall, since that's just a bit ungainly up there when it's not in use. Yes, my home is truly one big man cave, but even I get tired of seeing that hanging up there. This is FAR more unobtrusive than the Elite.I tossed a couple photos showing non ALR and ALR in bright settings, a shot from Horizon Forbidden West in a dark setting, and a shot from a movie where you can see how bright the room is, and how amazing the picture still looks in that much light. I only used that Optoma for 56 hours over a few years, I've almost reached that with this new projector in a week. With this screen I'm going to use it VERY often.

Amazing screen that is out of the way when not being used!
This thing is just amazing! I waited way too long with my UST Samsung LPT9T projector to get a proper screen since I was moving around a lot and finally got settled and was able to set this bad boy up and WOW the image has never looked so good! And yes I can finally watch sports in daytime without blacking out the room. There are slight imperfections due to the ink per their notes but you can't see them at 7-8 feet away and the image is flawless.Their customer support via amazon chat is top notch too. They respond within 24 hours with any questions. I had a bug splatter on the screen from when it rolled up one night which they asked me to take pictures of and then sent to their technical team to give me the best solution! Just wow, finally a company who cares about their end users and stands by their product. And the solution was very simple - wipe side to side (NOT UP AND DOWN) with a very soft cloth and water - I used a camera lens microfiber cloth and got it right out with light pressure. BUT contact them before doing anything just to make sure it will work for you and you don't damage your screen.I continue to enjoy this screen during the day and night time - if you have a UST this is a must!

Be careful with screen adjustment but great service
I bought screen this to use with my Optoma P1 UST laser. Note that you have to position this projector very precisely with this or any screen and I had to have custom cabinets made.At the end, I needed to have the screen 1 inch lower than the default screen height. They have two holes with rubber grommets on the left side. You are to remove only the front one and using the provided plastic adjustment put it through the small hole in the case. Of course you are doing this in the darkened room so you can see the projector test pattern. It is unclear from the directions exactly how the tool is supposed to go through the front hole in the casing. After some fumbling, I felt it engage and turned it clockwise as instructed. Nothing happened so I turned it a few more turns and again no adjustment. Then I took out the back plug and put the red flashlight shining in the hole to find out I had the tool in something other than the desired adjustment screw. It should have been in the yellow screw. Which when I changed the angle and adjusted the yellow screw the screen now stops where I want it to.BUT unfortunately now when the screen came down to store it does not stop or shut off automatically as it did prior. It goes down tighter than originally and the motor buzzes until I quickly shut it off. I tried to turn the silver screw back to no avail.Other than that one issue a very nice somewhat pricey product with good screen and seems well constructed. The lid is a little uneven when closed but tolerable if it can be made to work again properly. The company turned out to be very helpful with the problem. They sent a video and replied via WhatsApp to show me how to fix the issue. I would note you can shine a light in alongside the edge of the screen when it is up to be able to see the proper adjustment screws. The one for screen height on this model is yellow. The directions could be a little better.

Highend motorized ALR projector Screen
The product feels so high-tech and quality right out of the box. Packaging is very well protected.Motors are smooth and image quality is so refined and sharp, it feels just like the movies.Rotor arms and the tension mechanism are very sturdy and well built.I am 100% happy with this project.Photos really don't do this 120inch screen justice.

Excellent Picture!
I got this unit shipped from within Canada, so the shipping time was decent. The unit was very well packaged and arrived in good shape. The picture quality with an Optoma Cinemax P2 is simply outstanding, very bright with great colours and good black levels. Mechanically, the unit appears very solid. The only drawback is the complicated procedure to change the maximum screen height (using that odd Allen-key like tool to fumble around in a hole in the casing), but that is not annoying enough to take away a star.
