Noble Gems™ Pickle In Santa Hat Glass Ornament, Christmas

Very cute pickle ornament !My mom learned about the pickle tradition a little later in our childhood, and started it when I was in middle school, probably. It was well liked. When I got married and had my own kids, I explained the tradition to my husband, who didn't like pickles, or really Christmas (how many red flags does a girl need?) and he told me it was stupid.Anyway, now I'm divorced and our children love the pickle tradition (growing up the person who found it got an extra gift, usually Ferrero rochers , but we do it to find out who gets to open the first gift). I've borrowed my mom's at least once before getting my own and I loved the little Santa hat on this one.

Ordered this to start the "Christmas Pickle" tradition in our house and I was pretty disappointed when this arrived. The item description states it's made of glass, however what I received was clearly hollow plastic and not painted very well. Additionally, the santa hat on it was poorly glued and the hot glue that was used was very visible around the rim of the hat. Being a Kurt Adler product, I expected much better quality than something I could buy at the Dollar Store - not worth the price tag. Worth about $1.

The ornament arrived badly packaged and broken. The end of the pickle wasn't even in the box, so I presume it was packaged and shipped already broken. If it had arrived all in one piece, it would have been the perfect little pickle with a Santa hat. I still recommend the ornament because I'm sure this must have been some mistake. I'll exchange it, but it won't be ready for Christmas. I'm in a bit of a pickle here...

Great gift for my pickle loving aunts sparkly green tree! The ornament is very cute and I love that it’s wearing a Christmas hat. I do wish it came in a box but it was wrapped in bubble wrap and came undamaged.
