Sawyer SP181 PointOne Water Filtration Kit I bought this kit paying a few dollars ($11.00) more than the standard kit but it adds so much versatility it is well worth the money. The standard kit comes with 3 bags of various sizes where this kit comes with 2 pop-up drinking spouts, 1 bucket adapter kit, 1 faucet adapter and two of the smaller bags. Both options come with the syringe for back flushing. So you are giving up two larger sized bags, which the other reviews say the worst part of system, for quite a bit more. Also the bags are narrow at the top which makes filling them from a lake or stream more difficult. Just having the options to create a gravity fed filtration system was worth the price deference for me let alone the ability to hook it up to a facet. For those unfamiliar with a gravity fed system it basically lets you add dirty water to one bucket and letting gravity filter it down to a clean bucket. No pushing on the bag etc it just filters via gravity. Great option for camping when filtering larger amounts of water. I added: Tornado Tube - turns the male connection into a female connection, will let you collect water in a 2 liter or any plastic bottle and connect it right to the filter. You can't beat this filter and all the options for using it let alone that it is guaranteed to filter over million gallons.

The full size sawyer filter has a higher flow rate than the mini or the micro, and you can filter more water between back flushing. It's the best size for a family or group, in my opinion, for those reasons. It is also a good investment for those who do not cook with tap water because it will pay for itself within a couple of weeks since they wouldn't need to purchase water anymore. The kit does not come with instructions for setting up the faucet or bucket system, but there are a couple good tutorials on YouTube. You will have to supply your own bucket, because the kit does not come with one. The faucet adaptation is what I use at home BUT YOU MUST BE CAREFUL WITH THE WATER PRESSURE FROM YOUR FAUCET. I attach the filter the hose and wiggle the hose onto the faucet. Then I slowly turn the water up until there is a good clear flow through the filter. I have not turned my faucet on all the way because I'm worried that my high water pressure may tear the filter since the Sawyer was originally designed for gravity fed flow and squeeze pouches. And when you back flush the filter you will be suprized at how much junk comes out depending on where you live and what your city's water source is. And every filter, when properly back flushed, has the power to filter over 100K gallons of water. To put that into perspective, the government recommends you plan for 2 gallons of water a day per person for drinking, cooking, and sanitation in an emergency. So 100K gallons of water is sufficient to supply a family of 4 for over 34 YEARS. If this review reads like an ad I am sorry, I just really love Sawyer water filters and have used them when backpacking, fishing, camping, and hunting. I have filtered stagnant water sources as well as clean mountain streams and have never gotten sick from the water the filter has produced. This package is a great buy for outdoors enthusiasts, health nuts, and preppers.

Sawyer Products SP181 PointOne All-in-One Filtration Kit with 32-Ounce Squeezable Pouch I have several filters from different companies and these Sawyer Products are by far the lightest and easiest to use!!! It has many options to filter water so you'll never be caught without clean drinkable water. I actually rigged it to use a hand pump from another filter which gave me the choice of dropping a feeder tube into creeks. I also used the drill bit and adapters to assemble the drip filter function with a 5 gallon bucket. My only finding for fault in this kit is the faucet adapter, it was difficult to push onto my faucets and it required that you hold it on thus tying up one hand. When I tried to let go of the adapter it came off and water sprayed everywhere, which is not good if you are trying to separate dirty water side from clean water side. These Sawyer filters are my choice because of the weight, adaptability and performance. It can be used with the squeeze pouch, plastic water bottles, drip filter and sawyer has many adapters available for hydration bags and more!!! I have traveled all over the world from Mountains to sea, US, Europe, SWA and Sawyer filters will be in my pack.

Habe mir noch zusätzlich ein Kohle-Aktiv-Filter gekauft den ich nachgeschaltet habe. Es kappt super und das Wasser schmeckt wirklich gut. Es gibt hier keine laufenden Kosten wie bei den Einweg-Filtern. Alle halbe Jahr muß die Aktiv-Kohle ausgetauscht werden. Nachfüllpackung hält aber ewig. Vielen Dank für die Entwicklung und man kann es nur weiterempfehlen.

Ich habe es mitgenommen auf Expedition in Balkan und Karpaten. Wichtig war das wir sauberes Wasser hatten für die Kinder. Es funktioniert schnell, in wenigen Minuten hat man 2 Liter sauberes Wasser. Das einzige das wir nicht wissen ist ob es Nitrates filtert. Jetzt haben wir es hinter gelassen bei einen Familie in Moldawien und die sind super glücklich damit. Ein sehr gutes Filter, funktioniert schnell, einfach sauber zu machen, einfache Bedienung.

Con 0,1 micras de filtrado, eliminando bacterias y protozoos, la sensación de seguridad cuando cogemos agua sospechosa es muy alta, aplicando o lejía o pastillas de cloro para eliminar los posibles virus, la tranquilidad ya es total. La única pega, es que me ha venido sin la broca especial para realizar el orificio en el balde de agua, me he tenido que buscar la vida para hacer el agujero de otra forma. Salvo este detalle, es de gran versatilidad: vale para adaptar al grifo, agua de un balde o usando la bolsa que viene incluida. He realizado una prueba con agua de una charca bastante sucia, la ha dejado casi casi transparente, lo único que no he eliminado es el olor, aunque imagino que ni este filtro ni otro serían capaz de eliminarlo.
