My pup likes it
My pup, a one year old Chiweenie, didnt take to it at first. When it was raining outside she thought it was a good idea to use this grass patch instead of going out in the rain. I gave her much praise and made a big deal about her using it. She even got a treat. Now she uses it mostly. She hasnt pooped on it yet but thats ok. I just dont want her to ruin my grass this spring and summer with her pee. Since it sits outside on my patio, its definitely an easy cleanu. I just rinse off with waterhose once a week. I cut her large puppy pads into fourths and a cut piece in the tray. Makes cleanup so much easy. Overall, I'd buy again. I really need one for inside the house.

Took some getting used to
My first caveat: put this on a non-slip mat before introducing your dog to it. We put it on our tile floor and when my girl stepped on it, it slid out from under her, and she was freaked out. Wouldn't use it for several days until a puppy visitor on the other side of the fenced porch got her standing on it accidentally (after I'd put a pad under it). It's no problem now...except that the thing smells to high heaven. sitting outside in this summer heat. I've tried several different spray products, soap and hot water, giving it a good rinse multiple times a day after dumping the tray. Honestly, ideal would probably be rinsing it immediately every time she goes, if I could monitor it that often. Still, it does the job, for a dog used to a grassy yard now banished to an apartment with a small concrete patio. We're working on getting a temporary doggy door so she can let herself in and out to use it, too. She does like it now, though. She's even lounged on it a few times. (She REALLY misses grass.)

A necessary help for winter
I bought this because it became a problem for our pup to pee outside during the wintertime. She’d rather have accidents at home! This toilet changed the whole situation. The grass patch is thick and soft that she’s willing to step on it. We put a pee pee pad with her urine beneath the grass patch at first so she can recognize her new toilet. While we had a couple of accidents at the beginning, she finally gets it! Our pup used to enjoying chewing on pee pee pad, but she doesn’t seem to have a strong interest in chewing her new toilet now since we put the pee pee pad into the drawer after she gets used to it and she can’t reach it. She used to pee on the grass when the weather permits so she doesn’t seem to like chewing the grass patch. And the design is good that she won’t tilt it upside down easily, which is one of her game for her previous toilet. In general, we like this product and the material is strong enough that as long as our pup doesn’t regard it as a chew toy, it could serve as her toilet for a long time.

I mean, it works...
Decent design, my pup took to it super easy, it looks nice enough, but oh dear god the SMELL!I used liquid soap and hot water and a hose sprayer (we have a hot water option for our hoses) and when it was all said and done and dry again the thing still smelled terrible. The fake grass is super absorbent, so much so that none of the pee made it down into the tray part.It wasn't for me, but if you're willing to clean the thing daily then it's pretty cool.

Doesn’t work.
First, I’d like to say that my dog loved the artificial grass and started using this potty the day we bought it. I love the idea of this potty and think it’s good in theory. The problem is that urine stays on the upper deck and does not drain into the tray. It is not sloped enough to the hole for the liquid to travel. And the upper ridged plastic area (that is supposed to drain) never dries. It stinks to high heaven.I wish I could return it but I’ve decided to use the grass piece on top of washable pee pads and give up on the plastic tray altogether.

Dog potty tray
Purchased just in case for my young dog. I had two senior dogs with health issues who needed pee pads I had made my sun room one big bathroom with pee pairs. When they passed with in 2weeks of each other, I was able to reclaim my room but I was nervous as my young dog (2 yrs) had also used this giant bathroom. So not sure if she would take to just doing her business outside in fenced yard, which she has. This has served as emergency back up and only used when storms are present. But if needed for all the time would work well. I but a folded in half pee pad on top of the artificial grass was she was use to going on them but with the untray really not needed and the grass top tray is nice looking besides its function

Love this Upgrade Potty System
I have three teacup dogs and have always indoor potty trained on grass pad trays. This upgraded grass potty system is genius. Requires no pads and urine drains into the compartment underneath. Less odor and super easy to clean. I empty and wash out the potty tray twice a week and rinse the grass with the house and dawn dish soap, using gloves. Also helps to buy a washable pad to lay underneath the grass tray for misses if you have a male dog. Excellent buy and minimal odor.

Dog potty grass
I tried to return the is the grass potty pad for dogs because it is so hard to clean if used indoors. Can't get the smell out of the grass no matter what I used. The grass does not have a seam around it therefore the grass is continually continually falling out and and the grass pads are falling apart after only a couple of months use
