AnMount very good - Yinnex very terrible
Originally, bought one and it worked great. Went to buy another and got confused and bought a Yinnex by accident - look exactly the same but the Yinnex would not burn a CD - terrible product with no support. Found my original order for AnMount ordered another one - it worked great. Should probably send the Yinnex back to Amazon for a refund.

I don't know if it was just my lack of experience with this type of item, but I had trouble getting it to work and ended up ordering another device.

if you are looking for the best speeds get a 3
not the fastest , if you are looking for the best speeds get a 3.0 drive , otherwise works good , pretty quite , andsimple to hook up . Windows 7 and 10 found it , installed correct drivers within seconds . Great price .

Awesome!
It does what it's suppose to do and has a very sleek design. However, I couldn't get a good program to run my DVDs.

Not recommended.
Too bad I couldn't leave ZERO Stars. I received this item not an hour ago, but I thought I'd get on real quick and maybe save another buyer a headache and the trouble of returning it. When I opened the box, I noticed that there was no software disc included with the device. Against my better judgement, I hooked it up to my Surface Pro 4, which of course didn't recognize it. OK, no biggie, I thought....but then I noticed that it had locked up the computer, even Ctr-Alt-Del, and I had to reboot 3 times trying to get Safe mode to come up. On the fourth try (AND the fourth miss getting Safe Mode to come up by pressing F8,) the Surface recovered, and appears none the worse for wear. Save your money and buy something that works.

I recently had the pleasure of using this External DVD-Reader, Combo DVD-RW Burner, and I was pleasantly surprised with it's performance. It was pretty simple to plug in the two USB cables (one for power, the other data) and I was watching a DVD movie in seconds. Overall this was a useful product considering many computers, including my laptop, no longer come with DVD-RW any more.

dont buy these
it did not work. the user manual was 3 paragraphs and labelled "Windows 98 Setup", and stated that if it did work you needed to see if there was drive manager usb host controller and if there wasn't you had to go CMOS and change settings... how many people know how to get into CMOS.. I had to go online to find out where the device manager was, there is no way I'd know how to try to find CMOS. I also tells you if the find the drive "read-write not so smooth" add external power to the drive but there is no external power source for it other than another USB cable.please don't waste your time and money with this one.
