3M Steri Strip Skin Closures 1/4'' X 3'' - 10 Packages of 3

These are essential first aid supplies to close open wounds. Applying stitches requires a level of skill and attention beyond most occasions. You don't want to seal in foreign objects or pathogens with stitches or create needless scaring when more definitive treatment will come later. These 3M Steri Strip closures are one solution. This is a premier brand with ten (10) packs of three (3) strips at reasonable cost that can be distributed to various first aid kits from IFAK to trauma kits. Nothing fancy in packaging or retail dress, just the product. There are different configurations - this is the 1/4 inch by 3 inch long narrow strand ones. You can't go wrong with 3M, and you can get additional sizes to fill out your kits or crash bags.

These are perfect to replace the original steri-strips put in my incision after surgery. Those started coming off, these were easy to put on and replace the others. I cut them in half, as they are longer than the original ones I had from surgery. Highly recommend.

Use these quite a bit. you’ve got to get the benzoin tincture if you want them to stick the way they do in a professional setting. Skin-prep works but, not as well. Otherwise they work as intended.

Good to have, especially if you’re allergic to adhesives

These are the best investment I could have made to help with closing my facial gash. The gash was originally glued shut in ED but the dermabond literally burned the skin around the wound and led to wound separation. I bought these to hold the wound closed and for improved healing/reduced scarring. It was like overnight my body was able to complete the necessary processes to close the wound and it’s remained closed with these strips. My only complaint is that I have to change them daily - they are supposed to stay on up to a week but I have found they don’t. I’m not sure if it’s because the wound is on my face and I’m washing my face twice daily so the strips never have the 24hr time to fully adhere or if these are somehow a lower quality than what is used by medical institutions.

They hold well and are helpful.

These are the best quality steri strips I’ve found. I had stitches taken out too early and needed something to keep the skin closed. The ones I bought in Boots were thin, difficult to apply and came off almost immediately. These are thick, stick well and last far longer, although I did find I was replacing them most days (I was using them on my hand and not being very careful!)
