I've owned several Bluetooth speakers over the years - some larger, some smaller, some more expensive than others, but all with varying degrees of sound quality and battery life. My experience with the Votomy 30W Portable Bluetooth Speaker has been extremely positive: very clear sound, long battery life, ease of use and fantastic "extras" that make this speaker a "must-have."The speaker came partially charged and, wanting to get an early "tryout" (even though the directions suggest fully charging the device before using), I immediately went to pair it with my iPhone and iPad. You can only imagine my surprise when it connected to both devices in a matter of mere seconds. In fact, the connection remained very stable throughout my initial "tryout," and I can only attribute the stability to the Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.The speaker weighs less than 2 pounds and measures approximately 10" x 4 1/4" x 3 3/4". However, don't let this small size fool you. Once I fully charged the speaker (which actually took less than the listed 4 hours in the user manual), I was able to use it in my home office, living room, family room and garage, and it easily filled each space with a loud, clear, pleasant sound. In terms of battery life, I was successful in getting 12+ hours of playing time out of the device, keeping the volume between low and medium the entire time.This speaker features several other extras, including a USB output port (to charge mobile devices), an auxiliary 3.5 mm input jack for use mobile device headphone ports (auxiliary cable not included), ability to be used as a speakerphone, and capability to play True Wireless Stereo (TWS) by pairing two of these speakers together. The Sound is great, battery Life good, It even works as a power Bank. My only problem with this is the weight of the item, is just about 3 pounds- Definitely does weigh down a small size travel Bag.

I am updating my review because since I got this product I have been using these speakers constantly and am amazed at how great this product is. You cannot get a better deal regarding how much you spend on this product. These speakers are better than some of the more expensive Bluetooth ones that I have purchased over the last few years. I am very satisfied and impressed with the quality of the speakers. I bought two of these speakers so I could link them both together to get that real stereo experience, having a left and right channel playback. I ran into a few problems syncing the two together and I asked for help from the seller and they reached out to me immediately and sent me a video of how to do this. It is actually a lot simpler than I thought it was. That video helped me out immemsly with these directions. The only advice I would give consumers is that the seller gives you a 20 dollar gift card with your purchase of these speakers. I would suggest that you purchase these speakers on different orders so you can actually get both gift cards for both speakers. I made the mistake of purchasing them both on the same order and therefore they are on the same order number. It appears that you have to report your order number to get your gift card and since mine are on the same order number I only got one gift card. I reached out to the seller about this issue I was caught in and inquired about this second gift card and as of now I have heard nothing back about the other gift card that I should get with buying two speakers and I have yet to hear from about this second gift card.

I have been looking for some Bluetooth speakers for some time and spent some time in stores listening to various brands trying to find one that suited both my budget and my critical ear.My overall impression of modern small format Bluetooth speakers is that they are unbelievably good when compared to the small speaker radios, tape decks etc. that I listened to growing up in the 1970’s. However, some of the big name brand speakers simply can’t justify their inflated pricing. I was convinced that there would be brands available that were comparable to the big name brands (Bose, JBL, etc.) that were available at a fraction of the price. Enter Votomy. The reviews on Amazon say it all. You get amazing sound, easy Bluetooth connectivity at a fraction of the price.I don’t listen to this speaker at ‘Max’ volume, I use it in my workshop for background music and outside when I’m relaxing I the garden. In both applications it sounds every bit as god as the name brand speakers I mentioned. I typically charge it after every use so I can’t talk to the battery longevity (I recommend this for ALL battery powered devices). My biggest problem with this speaker is that I sometimes can’t find it! The reason being that my wife constantly ‘borrows’ it to listen to her talk-radio stations! I see a 2nd one in my future (actually I am curious as how good they will sound like when setup as a stereo pair).

I'm not gonna lie, the sound I get from this is amazing,full rich sounds that make you enjoy what you're playing. But unfortunately I can't even enjoy that. The bluetooth connectivity keeps failing. After 10 minutes of playing it starts skipping like a shaking cd player. At first I thought it was the battery being low so I charged it but it promptly went back to skipping even on a full charge. I can't even say it's the distance because the speaker is less than 10 feet away from whatever is connected to at the time, whether it's my phone or TV. This just makes me sad.
