which are amazing, and yet overwhelming concepts
This book is an absolute treasure. I am currently going to school to earn my permaculture design certificate. At the moment, I am deeply buried in zones and sectors, which are amazing, and yet overwhelming concepts. Jenni's book is the first of its' kind. It is lighthearted and informative and yet presents the concept of permaculture in a way that will be interesting to permaculture novices and experts alike. I will be recommending this book to my classmates and buying more copies as gifts.

Pleasant read.
I really enjoyed reading about Jenni's journey to permaculture living. The book is inpiring and informative. A gentle reminder as to how nature thrives when not invaded.

Experiences of a permie. Candy for the gardener's soul.
For someone starting out, this may have some educational value, and may give the reader a few new ideas. Frankly, we have an overabundance of books that do that. The real value of this book it learning about the author's first hand experiences: some things that worked, some things that did not, and where she is headed. It also provides some encouragement to people who feel they do not have an ideal set up. Truth be told, none of us do. That is part of what makes it fun. If we had perfect soil and weather, tons of money and unlimited time, energy and strength, gardening would be pretty boring. Nobody is impressed with the accomplishments of someone who has everything going for him. I personally get sick of books and articles full of cute but but mostly useless ideas. What we need is more people telling what they have tried and found to work. This book delivers that. And it is an enjoyable read. I am in an area with the opposite extreme from the author so I sort of skipped over her discussions of crops, but the rest was a lot of fun. Candy for the gardener's soul.

Enlightening
I really enjoyed this book. I have gardened and had livestock for years. Although I knew a lot of the information already I loved the way it fit into a Permaculture lifestyle. I am well on my way to permaculturist but only just learned so. This book was great in that it opened my eyes to a group of people like me that I didn’t know existed.I learned some incredible techniques for gardening that I will be using in the future. I have a pile of tree limbs that will now have a purpose and not have to be hauled away.

This book will leavw you thinking for weeks on end.
I enjoyed the book. The author had a lot of descriptive answers on ways she handed things on the Farm. She correctly pointed out, farming, when done with the lands best interest at heart, is not an easy feat. I enjoyed the information presented enough, that I shared the book with several friends. They too made improvements in the way their farms are being worked.

Permaculture: it IS for EVERYONE!
She says she is eastern coastal New England. That gives a contrast for anywhere else you want to farm.

I haven't read through the whole book yet but was looking for information on gardening not on raising animals for meat, including rabbits. Didn't want to pick it up again after I came across that .

I couldn't put it down! Perfect Spring time reading!
This book hooked me in from the first page. It is the perfect book for a cold spring day when you're just itching to get back in your garden. I wanted to learn how to tie my property together and focus more on the permaculture aspects and this book didn't disappoint. Lots of great tips, tricks and humor. I couldn't put the book down and flew through it in a couple days. It will now be placed on my obligatory annual spring reading list. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent
An inspirational account of one (very witty) lady's quest for self sufficiency. If you want to know how permaculture can convert you from a vegetarian to a (ok, selected) carnivore then this is a must read, but it is so much more. Thoroughly excellent and her humour is worth the price alone.

Highly recommended!
Really excellent book, easy to read story style book. Not a stuffy reference book that makes you fall asleep. I was quite surprised at how much I liked this book as I only added it on to make the free shipping. Highly recommend for anyone who is into self sustainability and is not located in a tropical/sub tropical region.

Good read, fun, but not much practical advice
Pleasant read, bit short, I still don't really feel prepared to create my permaculture space.
