Great resource!
Easy read and walked through everything I had been taught going through the old IBM Federal SE training, plus updates. Systems Engineering programs not following this (most in my 27yrs as a contractor) cost more and take longer than they should, then don't deliver what the end user needs.

Outstanding Text and Reference
I'm extremely glad I bought this recent textbook and guide about systems engineering since I want to update and refresh my knowledge in order to work on reducing global warming.

A great manual for best practices
Typically I use this book for reference and refresher. But this has been helpful whenever I've proposed processes and best-practices and been called out: Can't argue with what's in here!

The book is a bible of systems engineering principles.... it includes the latest system approaches
The book is well written and organized with good examples.

Repetitive, grammar and spelling mistakes
This book contains an editorial error every few pages. Sections repeat themselves without providing additional information resulting in overly wordy chapters and eye glazing content. This book priorities quantity over quality. Examples are sparse and poorly detailed. As a practicing systems engineer reading this for a masters degree I am disappointed by the authors and professor who chose it.

Looks like a good one.
In just looking over this table of contents, this published work looks like a good one. Go to the other reviews to view reader comments. Systems thinking and systems engineering is so key to solve our world's complex problems.

Inadequate Condition for the Price
The spine is tilted as many second hand books are. This is fine but not for the $87 we payed; try $40-45. The book arrived 1 day early
