I bought this mask for my son, it was a replacement for a different brand catcher's mask. My son likes this one much better. The padding around the face is more comfortable, and this mask is much lighter. During the summer months, this type of mask is a lot cooler than the hockey-style mask. Keep in mind, not all organizations will let players wear this type of catcher's mask. You may want to check before purchasing.

This is a very protective, easy to take off and put back on catchers mask!

My son really loves this mask. It's lightweight with great visibility and it just looks amazing! Can't comment towards the durability of this mask as we've only used it for about 6 games, but so far so good. I like the extra length at the bottom of the mask for throat protection as well.

Got this with the skull cap as our league allows these to be used in U10 baseball. I read that they are safer, offer more vision and much cooler than the hockey style masks, helmet. My son loves it, says he can see a lot more. I’m not sure how much cushion it provides as he hasn’t had a ball hit the mask this season. Bu his confidence is very high with this mask.

Bought this mask after the first one we purchased didn't fit over the traditional old-style batting helmet.....which remains more practical for catching in warm climates than the goalie mask. The All-Star mask fit just fine. It is lighter than most of this style, but is solid enough to deflect a direct hit.I like it.
