Missing pages at the end of the book
The reason the book is only two stars is because of a massive flaw I just can't overlook -- the last story is cut off with 4 more pages to go! I know this because I have the comic issue that story is in.It just seems really odd to me that they would end the book that way. I thought maybe it was a defect of my own copy, but Amazon says the book is 200 pages, and the final page does say 200. It must have been an oversight, I can't imagine they would have ever consciously decided to print it like that.Other than that, the art is beautiful, the quality of the pages are great. This book makes me so glad I live in the modern era. The stories are a fantastic--dare I say kitschy--look at comics back in the day. Wally Wood, and society at that time, left a lot to be desired as far the portrayal of women. *SPOILER* One main character gives up her successful business career (one that she loves, by the way) to become a housewife, because she just can't juggle a job and a husband (a husband who sexually harassed her in the workplace when they first met). Blegh. But that was the general view back then!Thank God for women's lib!
