This trainer is built like a tank and therefore VERY heavy with strong handle bias - holding it side-by-side, it is similar to the weight of the Kershaw Lucha. First two things I did (and recommend) is remove the latch and also "tune" and locktite the pivots. It now has virtually no tap and and only a microscopic bit of play, which is remarkable considering the sub-$20 price. The only reason I would not recommend this for beginners is simply the weight (which is also why I would not recommend the Lucha for beginners either). However, that said, its weight also makes it slightly "slower" during flipping - which, at least for me, actually helps with learning new tricks.

Absolutely amazed by the quality and price. I expected a cheaply made sandwich design balisong where the screws would come loose and really didn't expect a spring latch, boy was I blown away once I took it out of the box, the quality is amazing, it looks exactly like the pictures showed, it is quite large and somewhat on the heavier side but that's fine with me, I've paid more for these before and didn't even get half the quality of this, if you're looking for a good, cheap, high-quality trainer, then this is for youEDIT: After messing with it for a while I wanted to disassemble it, either the screws stripped or they came pre loctited but I cannot get any of the screws out with the provided tool no matter how hard I try, this is annoying because it's applied to every screw, I wanted to take the latch off to balance it a bit better and it just wouldn't come off, same with the top and bottom screws

The media could not be loaded.  I was blown away when I felt the weight of the knife when picking up the package. Once I opened it I felt like I had just bought a $40-$50 trainer (aside from packaging which looks standard of Chinese knives of its price range).Overall spins well, but I do think the weight is a little too focused on the center, as I have trouble with tricks that involve reverse opens as it just does not want to cooperate when trying to move momentum around. But I understand that that could completely be user error rather than a fault on its design. Would recommend

The media could not be loaded.  It was a pretty good knife out of the box except for the latch hardware missing and the dings and it kinda sucks because I literally got this in the mail today and it turned out like this other than that good knife just wish it didn’t arrive in the condition it did

This is a great buy. The one thing that i could not get was loosening the screw because it was tight. So, i got another wrench and got it. I would totally suggest buying this item. It is great for doing tricks on!! And it seems to be holding up great! If you are reading this buy the knife immediately!!

It's a nice trainer with some utility, on the heavy side so keep that in mind. Screws come loose easily, good thing drivers are included

This is not any ordinary butterfly knife, it has so many different uses. Its value is much more than its price. So grateful that I found this product!

This gave me some of the smoothest flips for its price and very sturdy absolutely would buy it again and can't recommend it enough

This didn't last more than a week as previously stated but it broke apart. One of the pins complete came out and with tape it can kind of work but it is very sketchy fix. Overall, if you're trying to figure out whether you want to try out balisong flipping, get a cheaper trainer. Then, invest in a trainer more than 100$ if you think you can pick up the hobby. Squiddy balisongs I've heard are pretty good but I currently cannot personally recommend it as this is my first and only trainer.

This is my very first proper balisong, and the knife seems very balanced and sturdy for me. There is no wobbling and it seems like it's very much built with flippers in mind. Also, the seller D&K mall refunded me 20% of the price because the product was running very late due to import issues, so very solid customer service as well.
