I bought this Yale 40mm closed shackle padlock to secure a garden gate, and it’s exactly what I needed. It has a solid, heavy-duty feel, and the Boron shackle adds extra security against cutting or tampering. These are good sturdy Yale padlocks that do they’re job well ! The three keys that you get with the lock are front door lock sized keys so opening & closing the padlock isn’t really fiddly. Give them a WD40 spray every now & then or oil them & they last & don’t rust, all metals like this need maintenance & in the quick video provided that lock has been on that gate for close to, if not two years & it’s as good as the day that I got it & that’s with the North West of England weather hitting it too! I feel that these padlocks are more than adequate, I have the older one that I’ve mentioned on the side gate & this recent purchase is on the shed instead of two of the much smaller versions of this one. A great product that I’d recommend for the likes of gates & sheds & bicycle chain locks, etc.
