The Only Pen I Trust in the Cockpit – Built for Real-World Flying
As a helicopter crewmember, I need gear that works—every time, no excuses. The Skilcraft B3 Aviator Pen is hands-down the best pen I’ve ever used in the cockpit. This thing is an absolute workhorse. Triple options (black, blue, and pencil) at the turn of a barrel? Perfect for logging flights, annotating maps, or making quick in-flight notes. No fumbling around with multiple pens—just one reliable tool that does it all. It writes smoothly at altitude, in all temperatures, and even holds up during turbulence. I’ve dropped it, clipped it, stuffed it in my flight bag—it still looks and works like new. The all-metal barrel is tough and has that classic, no-nonsense military feel. And yes, the detent mechanism is super satisfying and rugged—not flimsy like cheap plastic pens. I use it every single day in the aircraft, and it never skips or fails. If you’re in aviation, law enforcement, the military, or just someone who needs reliability in demanding environments, do yourself a favor and get one (or three). This is not just a pen—it’s mission gear.

Awesome Pen!
I grabbed the Skilcraft B3 Aviator pen because I needed something tough that does more than just write. It’s a great size, not bulky at all,and fits easily in a uniform or flight suit pocket. The twist-action gives you black, blue ink, and a 0.5 mm pencil with eraser, which is just brilliant for quick notes or sketching out ideas. The metal barrel feels rugged, kinda like brass under a matte finish, and really tough, it still writes beautifully after all kinds of daily abuse. If you’re looking for one reliable writing tool that can do it all, this might just be it.

Very useful
Very sturdy pen/pencil combo. I've used these for many years and will likely continue to do so as long as I need to write things. Very compact as well relative to similar products.

Best pen Skillcraft makes
Definitely useful and durable. Best pen Skillcraft makes. Inflow is really good for ballpoint and pencil is adequately functional. Best feature is that it is not bulky considering it is a multi pen. It is slimmer than most regular pens.

Great EDC Pen/Pencil
I was looking for a pen for my EDC and this one fit the bill perfectly. I need a pencil for notes and a blue pen because I sign my name about 20 times a day. This way I don't have to carry three items. Great! The quality of the pen is solid as well. It appears to be coated brass. I imagine the coating may wear off after long-term use, but the pen will still be solid and working great. It writes smoothly and easily changes from pencil to pen and back. Very clever design. For $20 you can't beat it. I haven't missed a day carrying it since I bought it.

Pricey but worth it.
It's very durable and sturdy. But after 3 washes in a washing machine is to much for it. Writes smooth and switches quickly. A tad pricey but worth it. Dont forget to take it out of your pocket and you'll be fine. It does last. I had one for 2 years. Only thing I had to do is replace the lead.
