I Can Yell Louder

Not that great. I do not like the author’s solution and the ending. Great beginning but not my idea of an ending. Fixing yelling by yelling so loud you can no longer yell?!? No.

What this story does is to portrait the yeller in negative colors and to show how nobody likes her yelling. So if you think your child yells because she is unaware people dislike it, fine, this might work. I personally think most kids have temper tantrums and yell because they don't know how otherwise to handle their big emotions. This book will not help with that.

After looking at the commercial I was really expecting a great book. End up reading it to my daughter once. I got the opposite effect with 5 year old who in fact started yelling after I finished the book, and for my older daughter who had a better understating - the wording is too childish. Not impressed.

I got this bc our kid is a yeller and so far it only has made him scream along with the book 👀 I thought there may be a little more to the story, but basically a kid in class yells about everything and a classmate says she can yell so loud you can’t even hear it and so the yeller wears herself out trying to yell that loud and it ends with basically saying yelling doesn’t get you want you want. Meh.

My son said, "people dont talk quieter if you scream louder!" So, the morale of the story was lost on him.

I had high hopes. My grandson yells when he gets angry. I didn’t find the solution in this book a realistic one. Also, the typo and awkward syntax in a couple of spots was unfortunate.

I had to try this book from reading all the raves about it. I gotta say, it is all it is cracked up to be. My 2 yr old loved screaming and crying throwing tantrums for no reason. I was at my wits on how I could get him to stop. I tried this book and it worked WONDERS! The illustration was EVERYTHING for my 2 yr old to finally understand. After reading this book to him 3 times he got it and when he would start to scream and cry to throw a fit I would cover my ears and squint my eyes and he would instantly stop. I definitely recommend this book for those that are dealing with toddlers that get out of control! I don't know how I could have gotten the tantrums under control otherwise.

Cute book, did not help my child not to scream. Lol
