A Rock-Solid, Versatile Mounting Solution for Small-Medium Items
I recently got my hands on the SmallRig 10-inch Magic Arm, and I'm thoroughly impressed with its build quality and versatility. The all-metal construction feels premium, with the black aluminum body and silver accents giving it a professional look. What really stands out is the robust locking mechanism - just one turn of the center wingnut allows you to adjust both ball joints simultaneously, and when tightened, it holds position rock solid. The super clamp is equally well-designed, featuring rubber padding to protect surfaces and an impressive grip range of 15-40mm. I particularly appreciate the dual 1/4" and 3/8" thread options, making it compatible with virtually any camera accessory. The 1.5kg payload capacity has been more than sufficient for mounting my monitors, lights, and microphones, though it's important to note this limit if you're planning to use heavier equipment. One thing that sets this magic arm apart is its thoughtful design details. The knurled surfaces on the wingnut provide excellent grip, and the ball joints move smoothly when loosened but lock firmly in place when tightened. While the price might be higher than some alternatives, the build quality and reliability make it a worthwhile investment for anyone serious about their camera setup. After using it for a while, I can say SmallRig has maintained their reputation for quality with this product.

Highly adjustable and really well built, great value for flexible mounting
Pleasantly surprised with how good this is. I’ve bought a lot of SmallRig gear over the years because the quality is always solid and the designs are consistently well thought out. This one was no exception. The arm itself is highly adjustable and gives you loads of flexibility in positioning. Whether you're using it for a light, a camera or a monitor, you can get it set exactly where you need it. Once tightened down, it holds firm with no unwanted movement. The clamp is strong and stable and grips securely to a variety of surfaces. The materials feel premium, with smooth metal parts and a solid finish that gives you confidence it will hold up with regular use. Delivery was next day and the price felt totally fair for the quality and functionality. If you're looking for a versatile mount that just works and feels built to last, I’d definitely recommend this. Great piece of kit.

Worth buying!
I have couple of these in various sizes now. Good quality build, easy to use but they weight a bit more which is acceptable as they are made out of metal. You can adjust it in to almost every position. Functional product for everyday use.

Robust and flexible
I think this is well made, robust and flexible. It can take the weight of an slr and medium(ish) lens and flashgun. A useful standby piece of kit.Maybe 5 stars after I've used it more?

Very vell engineered clamp and arm suited to lights or camera
I bought this to mount an Elgato Mini light for my teaching studio. Having used cheaper plastic clamps and magic arms before, and been disappointed with holding ability, I was prepared to spend a little more on a mainstream brand.Wo this arm is well engineered. Good solid metal components with a good grip and quality fit. This works so well as a whole thing where others always had drawbacks. If you need a quality clamp that is easy to fit, tightens well and holds forever, this is the one. Add the magic arm and you can mount a pretty heavy item easily.Worth bearing in mind, like all others, it relies on a nut tightened against the camera body to hold the camera in place. Just like all mountings of this type, the camera will rotate a little if pushed. so its never going to be good for loads that have some sort of uneven press to one side. Magic ars=ms will never work for that.If you're in the need of a quality arm and clamp, this is the one for you.

Very light weight but made from very strong material
I am very happy with the 10 Inch Magic Arm and the clamp, the arm works very well and holds my camera monitor in place with no issues, very light weight but made from very strong material, you can adjust it on the go which is very handy, when it locks in place it really is very solid and does not move but what I like the most is it can be placed in Multiple angles to help with photography or filming equipment such as lights, mics, monitors, and many other items that are used when working indoors or outdoors, and there is just one butterfly screw that locks the whole lot in place once it is tightened, very happy thank you.

Fair price. Heavy. Needs increasing pressure on the tightening screw
First impressions: It's heavier than anticipated, and I'm not sure I'll take it on shoots too often. It's seems well-made, so that's the counterbalance to the weight. It's a very clever design, and the locking mechanism is impressive, although see UPDATE below. It gives a full range of adjustments with just the one lock securing all. The manual is not so much lacking in detail as lacking, and it took me some time to realise how the ball and socket joints locked. It's a good price for what it provides.UPDATE after a month:The securing screw has to be tightened more each use. It's OK for a mobile phone on a plastic clamp, but if you add a light, it's borderline.

Snare under, here I come.
Incredably sturdy, clamps well onto things, and locks down hard. I have experience with the Manfrotto "inspiration" which is much larger, and this fits in many nooks and crannies where the Manfrotto won't go. Price is insanely good. The single thing I'd like to change is that I'd want the threads to be 3/8" BSW and not 1/4" BSW. But I solved that by adding some slim adapters that upgrade to the proper mike stand thread.

10" als Angabe passt also ganz gut.
