Essential Medical Supply Heavy Duty Weighted Stainless Steel Utensil Set with Fork, Knife and Spoon for Easy Eating

I am elderly and have essential tremors. I can no longer balance food on a fork or spoon. I shake it right off. My doctor suggested I get a weighted knife, spoon and fork. I looked at all the options and weights and chose this set. I noticed they are of different weights, but I still have decent strength in my hands so decided to go with the 7oz rather than the lighter variety. I can't tell you how well they work for me. From the plate to my mouth, no more spills! I am very pleased with the quality of the product. They are dishwasher safe and doesn't appear different from regular eating utensils.

Looking for something my mom could handle with shaking hands. Too heavy for her.

Bought several sets of these for my father who was having trouble eating on some days due to tremors in his hands. The added weight of the utensils really helps minimize the effect of the tremors and makes it much easier for him to eat his meals without needing assistance which is great. He really liked these compared to some of the others that we had tried because he said the large plastic/rubber handles on those looked like they were made for a child while these look like normal utensils with just slightly larger (and much heavier) handles.

They take a little getting used to. They were bought for someone who has tremors so like anything else you have to get used to them. They definitely have some weight to them and for cutlery they have a nice appearance.

They look very nice, only downside was that the silverware was sharp and had to be file down so no injury to the mouth or lips.

I bought these for my mom who has Parkinson’s. They may seem heavy but they work for her to help keep her hands more steady as she eats. Very nice quality.

Following her stroke, my wife began to have severe tremors in her hands. I was having to feed her some of her meals. The weight of this tableware has reduced the tremors when she eats and she is able to feed herself almost all meals. It has been such a great help that I plan to order a second set to reduce the frequency I have to wash dishes and as a spare set for times we get to travel. This definitely rates 5 stars!!

Bought these utensils for my mother-in-law who has tremors. They've helped reduce the shaking, making it easier (and less messy) for her to eat. Would recommend if it the tremors aren't terrible.
