Live Without a Net Tour Only US Release

This was a nice surprise when a used DVD arrives in perfect condition. I am very happy w/ this DVD. Tx!

This was still VAN HALEN young and FREE! The Audience was Alive and Active and that made this cool too! Thanks To ALL who were there in the Stands and making noise! How great is that, huh? The Nineteen eighties and much, much, fun the world felt like a Totally different place. Reagan was in the White House and we [Most All] slept better at night. Van Halen put it on and kept it going, until the final closing. The Menu of song tracks are outstanding and the fun was watching these crazies play it out! What a cool pleasure to see. I really enjoyed this a lot more than I thought that I would. Much Love to Michael Anthony and his New Band! Way to go bro. You're like a friend I new in High School. Again, the 1980's. It Van Halen one of the best concert videos out there. The guys were on fire that night. RIP EVH

This is a fantastic DVD & concert, the concert is from the Van Halen 1986 5150 Tour & it really is Van Halen at the absolute top of their game. Even a fan of the Roth era will enjoy this DVD. The energy and the enthusiasm coming from the band on this will make anyone who is a fan of the band or even just good time rock n roll will enjoy this. You can really tell at this point in time the band was in some of their best spirits. Just wish they would remaster this & put it on a blu ray. But I guess at this point in time the band is almost trying to pretend like the Hagar era didn't exist, so I guess we just have to be thankful for what we have. Its too bad, there is no doubt Sammy was the man vocally, & this concert is documented proof. Sound is great, just wish the picture was a little better but still a great concert for any fan to have.Quality: Now with all that being said buyers of this need to understand the picture on this in my view is slightly better than VHS, so it could be better. The sound is good but could be great. We all want Van Halen to come back to this stuff & come out with a blu ray, but at this point its doubtful that's going to happen. So buyer beware, this is a fantastic concert but don't go into it without reasonable expectations.

Als ich die DVD in den Player legte und mir die Kopfhörer aufsetzte, hatte ich keine Ahnung was mich erwarten würde.. ich wollte umbedingt ein Van Halen Konzert aus der gloreichen Zeit der 80iger Jahre, und da schien mir dieses genau das richtige zu sein.Als Van Halen mit dem Sammy Hagar Opener There's Only One Way To Rock die Bühne entern war ich sofort gefesselt und fassunglos über diese Energie und diese Spielfreude, die die Band an den Tag legte. Jeder Song eine Energieladung pur die einen einfach nur umhaut. Eddie spielt grandios, wie wenn es kein Morgen gäbe und der Rest der Band macht es ihm nach. 90 Minuten purer Hard Rock!Dieses Konzert ist neben der Live After Death DVD von Iron Maiden mein Lieblingskonzert aus den 80igern und muss umbedingt im Regal stehen!

When I first knew about a live Van Halen concert on video I knew that I had to get it, and I wasn't disappointed. The concert is filmed on the 5150 tour and therefore he playlist is mainly tracks from the 5150 album, but there are still a few classics such as 'Ain't Talkin 'Bout Love' and 'Panama'. The show kicks off with 'There's Only One Way To Rock' from one of Sammy Hagar's solo album's but only this time with Eddie Van Halen's guitar wizardry. 'Summer Nights' is proceeded by 'Get Up' in which Alex Van Halen plays an ultra fast double bass drum technique. As a experienced drummer, I can tell you that this is no mean feat. The band then rip through "5150" and Panama before bassist Michael Anthony performs a truly crazy Bass Solo. 'Panama' is followed by 'Love Walks In' in which Eddie plays keys live on stage and Sammy Hagar does well in taking over on guitar. Eddie performs his trademark Guitar Solo which is then followed by 'I Can't Drive 55', 'Ain't 'Talkin 'Bout Love', 'Why Can't This Be Love' and finally 'Rock And Roll'. Not only is the playlist and the musicianship good, but the fooling about on stage adds to the experience to make a excellent concert. I highly recommend this to anybody who is in the slightest bit of a Van Halen fan. You'll love it.
