The diagrams were very helpful. No leaks at all. The nut and screws under the countertop are a pressure fit design. If you study the diagram closely it will be clear what parts go under the countertop. The brushed gold color went perfectly with the Kraus Indy Single Handle Vessel sink faucet. The pop up drain works perfectly. The sink I used was the Nantucket conical vessel sink NSV222 all available on Amazon.

I have used this several times before, however the latest sinks I bought for the new install of our granite countertops, would not work with them. The mounting ring that fits down the top of the drain, is pretty big around. Some sinks are not formed with a big enough flat spot for the drain to sit down in it, and fully contact the sink. This leaves a gap under it, and it leaks. No real way to fix it unless you use some thick rubber washer to fill the gap. We ended up using the drain that came with the new faucets, even though we liked these, from previous experience. Just ended up tossing them both as has then for a long time while we were getting the construction done. They are nice and work well, if they will fit your sink.

20 minute upgrade per sink and I'm no plumber. I had one of these pop up drains that came with a Kohler faucet in my old house and it was nice but wow the build quality on this is wayyy better!! No plastic parts!! I can speak by experience that you don't get nearly as much nasty gunk stuck on these types of faucets either. Be sure to get plumbers putty if you have a sink with steep drop for the drain, and check for leaks for a while before cleaning up! Sometimes needs to be a little bit tighter

These were fantastically easy to install, and the included instructions were clear and easy to follow. I am happy to report no leaks!!! They look beautiful. I am very pleased with the unit being completely metal with no cheap plastic parts. When I redo the other bathroom, these will be ordered again!
