aFe TA-1003P Takeda Cold Air Intake System

I installed this filter in a 2009 Honda Fit in less than 30 minutes. I did not notice any improvement in fuel efficiency. The big difference I noticed with this intake system was a "throatier" sound when accelerating and perhaps a slight increase in power. The sound is nice if that is what you are seeking.

There are several items which could be improved on this. The hose clamps supplied to clamp the intake tube to the throttle body using the supplied connector were too large leaving a long tag end on each clamp. There are no profiles on the intake tube to help secure the clamping force at either the throttle body side or filter side - thus it was impossible to get a secure connection and I'm concerned that the filter may just fall off (the material for the connections is very slippery) or allow unfiltered air to enter. The instructions failed to mention how to handle the PCV connection (remove the clamp and pull the metal tube out of the grommet-like fitting on the top of the airbox). The threads for the MAF sensor didn't seem well done - I was very careful to tighten the provided screws enough to ensure a secure fit but not enough to strip the soft aluminum. The screws provided for the MAF sensor are only slotted - I expected better hardware (i.e. socket head cap screw or at least a hex bolt with Phillips). There was no clamp provided to secure the supplied hose to the supplied elbow for the PCV fitting. In addition, the hose was too long (and instruction didn't bother to mention that it may have to be trimmed) - it was tough to fit it into place such that the supplied elbow would fit square in the grommet and minimize the chance for unfiltered air to make it into the intake.Overall I was very unimpressed with the hardware and fitment. I expected a performance product like this to be well-engineered. This product misses the mark especially considering the price.

Easy to install and looks like it will be fun. The only bad thing is that it's super low to the ground so not going to be active in the rain

I installed this baby to my '09 Honda Fit Sport and its now giving me more than 35 miles to the gallon on shift mode in the city with heavy traffic. next thing to install is going to be a Fuel management system.

Mine broke after 1 month of use. Drove my car normally while it was installed, but broke after a month. the weld job that connects the support arm to the intake tube came loose

I am very pleased with this air intake. It was fairly easy to install. As well as better all around performance it actually gave the Fit an engine sound that didn't exist before. Two thumbs up. Best bang for buck

My 2010 honda fit sounds much better and I am looking forward to possible better gas mileage. This also came with some stickers and a license plate outline. Very happy with the purchase.
