cleaned up the computer wire mess on the back of my desk and got all the wires off the floor.

If you know what this thing is, you already know what it does. I have a length of this duct mounted across the back of my  OFC Express dual monitor stand  and used with the  Panduit cover  it does a nice job handling cable management for my workstation. If it's not obvous: you really need the cover - it's otherwise not really usable. It's easy to cut and to drill additional holes where needed, making it simple to route cables as needed, resulting in a very neat appearance. The PVC seems very durable and tough, but it is possible to permanently fatigue the individual tabs if you bend them too far (this doesn't significantly affect the overall usability or appearance, however). Note that a 2X1 enclosure such as this is the minimum size you want for an average workstation plus accessories - the 1X1 size is likely too cramped for all your wires and will make you cross when you realize you should have gotten the bigger size. Availability of this stuff appears to be hit or miss - the size and color combinations that are available on any given day seem to vary widely. However, I like this solution much better than using flexible wire looms or velcro-y things, even though it takes more time to install. This duct in black on the back of the black monitor stand makes a very professional appearance that takes all the cable clutter and makes it simply vanish.

Overall they are good. HOWEVER, they do NOT come with the covers to hide the cabling.

Thick plastic and well made. Just What I needed. Does not come with the cover. You buy it separately. this does not impact my review.

Was assuming they came with "lids", now I have to track it down.

This arrived amazingly fast, I was really surprised. I'm using these to organize stereo and home theater cabling, works really nicely. I appreciate that the fingers along the duct can be easily broken off by just bending back and forth (they're pre-scored) so you don't need to use a special tool to remove them cleanly. I use a PVC blade to cut them down to lengths I want (be sure to tape it over before cutting, so you don't get a jagged edge).

I got ripped off... I ignorantly paid over $40 for this and like other reviewers no cover, as was pictured previously. I didn't check things out right away due to this being on back order for a month, when I finally got around to the project I noticed my error. Item now sells for $16.
