LED's may light for a decade or more but they really grow slowly less bright with a few years on them. Worth replacing at today's reasonable prices. We installed a dimmer with these and they are great for office work.

We just replaced all nine of our living room light bulbs with these. We were tired of the too-yellow color of the 2700K bulbs we'd put in years ago to replace incandescent bulbs, so I found these to replace them.A decade ago, BR40 LEDs were about $25 each; these are $5 each. They're more than a third brighter for the same wattage, and the color is pleasantly whiter than we had. (Also, I know it doesn't really matter, but these bulbs are also ridiculously lighter than the old ones. I ended up getting a scale to see just how much, and it turns out these weigh 4 ounces versus a full 16 ounces for the old ones.)Obviously, I can't speak to longevity yet, but so far so good. :)In short, we're very happy with these bulbs.

Brightness is very good; longevity of product is unknown as yet; hence value for the money cannot be calculated. Estimated longevity and value for the money is good.

The bulbs burn brightly,But one burned out the first month.I called the company,And they shipped me 3 additional bulbs immediately.I do recommend these bulbs, as the bulbs from Lowe’s were much more expensive,And I couldn’t find replacement bulbs that matched ones I had previously purchased there to match the brightness.I bought a 10 pack from Amazon, so if one goes out I have plenty of replacements.

Great value and energy efficient!

So far so good on these bulbs for the can lights in the kitchen. Nice and bright. I am always concerned about getting bulbs shipped here, but the packaging was good and no damaged bulbs. Definitely will save some money since our last electric bill was pretty high.Go Navy!V/R, Big Jim in Texas

I order these bulbs to replace halogen blue we have used for the past eight years. We liked the intensity and warm glow of the halogen bulbs, but I was very frustrated by the short life of the bulbs and the intense heat they generated. The cost of the replacement bulbs was $30 for a two pack. I bought a 10 pack of the Sunco BR40 LED Bulbs which are currently on sale for $39.95! Not only are are the bulbs much cheaper, but they met all our expectations for brightness, tone, and dim-ability. The warm white option is perfect for our kitchen area.

EDIT - we put seven of these bulbs in our kitchen ceiling two years ago. In the two years since, THREE HAVE BURNED OUT. 22 years my ass. These don't last.The original review is below:We changed out the seven lightbulbs in our kitchen ceiling can lights when one of them burned out recently. There was a mismatch of colors = warmth that my partner found distracting. We upgraded from 65W equivalent to these 100W equivalent bulbs.Wow, what a difference! We had recently installed a pot rack that blocked two of the lights and made our island beneath it quite dim. Not anymore. With the light from these, the island is back in business.These are so bright that we can now turn off all the kitchen lights in the evenings and only leave on the one light directly above the sink as a "nightlight". The one light is still plenty bright enough to see the whole kitchen for when you're nipping in to grab a glass or water or a snack from the fridge.We have not used the dimming feature, as the switch is not equipped for it. We also can't comment on longevity, as we've only had them for a week.One little annoying thing that occurred when we were changing out the bulbs was we couldn't initially get one of them to light up. We tried a couple of different bulbs in one socket - no go. The old bulb was still lighting, but not these new ones. After some finagling, we finally got it to light.

If the power consumption can be lower, it would be perfect.

We wanted to be able to adjust the kitchen lighting and these did the trick. We also wanted the savings these LEDs can provide.
