I bought this item a few years ago, and it’s been great. Unfortunately, I was in a car accident where someone rear ended me at 45 or more MPH on the freeway, and they hit so hard it deformed the back of my car and license plate. I will share some photos of the same license plate and the silicone mat. That silicone mat really held up in that car accident. The license plate on my new red car along with this silicone plate mat holder is the same ones on my grey car. My car got totaled, but these two items survived. The mat didn’t even look damaged after I took it off the old car. You’ll see, still looks like new. It’s also held up nearly two years in the desert sun. The item definitely is a quality produced item because there was no deformation. It also looks attractive and gives your license plate a cleaner look with the border. It also prevents your metal plate from doing damage to you vehicle, and if it’s on your trunk lid it may help with vibrations and sound. I wanted a slim black frame to comply with a lot of states that have restrictions with covering the state or parts of the plate, and this did that and put a silicone barrier between the plate and car. I can’t confirm if this helped keep my plate from further damage, but I was able to just flatten it again pretty easy.

So secure and soft, it really adds that simple needed touch to my car while protecting my paint. scratch resistant. My car paint is diamond dazzle white so I wouldn’t want it scratched. It looks classy and expensive. The quality is great.I think it’s worth my money.It took me 3 minutes to install- The stews were too big for my Tesla but I just reuse my screws that came with the car.

Love the look and protection provided by this license cover. It’s simple and durable. The installation was so easy. I appreciate that it is very transparent and has not yellowed at all with continuous high heat sun exposure. I’m very impressed and happy with the value.

It's a tight fit to get the license plate in the rubber backing. The plastic rests on top of the plate. No surprises, no instructions but it's a straight forward process.

Good clear plate flat can't even tell you have a plate cover very clear. So far fade resistant. So far it has not yellowed.

I'm half and half on this. The clear plastic cover is pretty strong, and I can vouch for that. I know because I unfortunately hit a deer with it, while driving 40-50mph. The cover was cracked, certainly, but it didn't fall apart or have missing pieces. So that in itself... it's tough. *Good job* I do have a vanity plate that sticks out and the clear 'bubble' cover fits it just fine, and everything is clear & easy to see, no 'tint' color either. The license plate fits snuggly into the black rubber case nicely as well, so *good job* there as well. So, what's my discomfort with this? The literal nuts & bolts of this combo pack is rather cheapy material, and kinda a 'hit or miss' with quality control efforts. But my biggest issue with this is...with the weather in question, this product is a deep disappointment. I have water spots and fog, 'INSIDE' of my cover protector :-P. Rain or Snow, this cover doesn't keep out the elements for nothing, which was the BIGGEST reason why I got this product to begin with. The clear plastic cover doesn't really cover things real well. It sits on top of the black rubber case, or you can manage to get a part of the case into just the lower half or some corner parts only. It sits on top, not around, over, and beyond the edges of the black rubber case. They gave me 'half' the features...I gave them 'half' the stars. I hope you can understand this, and thank you for listening. *Update* The seller did eventually contact me and I will have to give them high praise for customer service and trying to help figure things out. In the end tho, I'm still left with this to say..."It's a decent license plate set, but [the] product design does not meet the expectations & requirements that I need for my situation." This simply is NOT weatherproof.

License plate fit is perfect. What I like is that the protector keeps the plate from making contact with the painted surface. All the holes lined up perfect. Only suggestion would be, for the cover to fit inside the lip of the protector rather than sitting on top. The acrylic lens is nice and clear. Planning on buying another one for the front plate.
