Matt finish, soft hold but if I want a stronger hold I just add a bit more to my already styled hair and the hold is good and it does wash out easily with water and mild shampoo

Arrived quick: 5/5 Container new condition: 5/5 Fiber cream condition: 5/5 My hair is thick and 3-4 inches long. I use a light application. I want my hair to still move around. Not looking to hold it in place. Fiber cream hold type: Mid as advertised. Felt like wax . I stirred it around to make it creamy. Was hoping because it was cream it would be a little less strong. Sticky like wax, not smooth like cream. Hold strength: 3/5 Holds hair in place but not rock hard. Fiber cream scent: scent is pleasant and barely noticeable. People had to get their nose right up to my hair to smell it. I Can only imagine that someone would have to use a lot for the scent to be noticeable. Flaking: none Scalp irritation: none Would I use it again: No, I prefer something a little weaker. Such as dove and cremo. The scent is more masculine, which could be better depending on what I'm doing.

Hey Guys...this is hair stuff for guys. It's not a topic we often like to discuss. I can say however, behind the protection an anonymity that this stuff works really well. Just a little bit goes a long way for a guy like me who has short hair and doesn't want to mess around much with sprays and sticky gels works really well. Basically...I want to spend about 30 seconds getting ready for work after I'm done getting my kids ready and this stuff does the trick. I'd say it works as well as the one other brand I've tried and for about $10 less per container. Hair stays in place all day long and allows me to make minor corrections throughout the day if needed (sometimes I just need a splash of water on my hands). One of my major concerns in purchasing this product (other than having to purchase a hair thing) was there were several comments about the smell. I think this is my third go around with this product and the first two I had did not have much of a scent to them. The newest container however has a much stronger smell. It's definitely more of an "old-school" musk type smell rather than the Axe Sprays (which generally smell like hot garbage and lilacs) but I wouldn't say it is bad. It also doesn't last very long either so I wouldn't say it is a big deal. I'd question the factory workers or machine that puts the manly musk in each container for consistency but again, not a reason not to buy it. Honestly, I'm not sure a 4 rating or a 5 ratings really means much except that I'm not being paid to provide feedback on this product. Maybe some more consistency with the manly smell of this very unmanly item would get it to the 5 atmosphere. Overall, good product at a great price. At the end of the day, it's hair stuff for dudes so let's not be too serious about it.

So I've tried many matte finish strong hold hair products from pasts, pomades to creams and clays. My hair is 2" long and very fine. Clays seem to work the best for me and I heard a lot about Smooth Viking's Strong hold matte finish clay so I thought I'd give it a try. After about 3 weeks of use, here are my thoughts. Matte Finish: Five Stars Is it matte finish? Yes! It's one of the better matte finish products I've used. As I'm rubbing it in my hair, it instantly disappears. Meaning there is no shine at all. It gives me a very soft matte finish look which is what I'm going for. Strong Hold: One Star Let me just say again I've been trying a lot of "strong hold matte finish" products and I can understand why it's hard to get a combo of both features in one. Usually a strong hold will come from a gell or pomades but they'll also leave you with a shiny look which is not what I want. With that said, I will say this particular product did not hold my hair at all. As I put it in my hair it would instantly harden before I could even style it and then 30 minutes later my hair would fall as if nothing were in it. I wouldn't even call it a medium hold. In comparison with some other "strong hold" clays, I would have to say it's a light hold. Unfortunately I cannot use this product as I need a strong hold for my hairstyle. Customer Service: Five Stars Their customer service is awesome. If you have any problems with their products, they'll help you out fast. This clay holds better than any hair product I have ever used - sprays, gels and other clays. I apply this to short, towel-dried hair, and the matte finish leaves a clean, natural look. When I wash it out, I never feel like I need to scrub hard to feel clean.

My brother uses so much different products in his hair, it's rather ridiculous. I have been looking for a cruelty-free, high-quality, natural styling clay for my brother to use and I believe I found it in Smooth Viking Styling Clay! After using this product for a week, my brother won't leave it alone. He likes to do those pompadours and retro styles using this stuff and I am amazed at how well it keeps all day! A little goes a long way with this product, it's so thick you got to rub it in your hands to warm it up a bit and when you do, it becomes like a sticky liquid. The smell reminds me of a floral Elmer's Glue. (A clay is a clay, I suppose!) So if you are someone who doesn't like that kinda smell, I'd recommend something else or at the very least, use a little of this because it can overwhelm you. (The first time my brother used it, when he'd walk by..I'd get a huge whiff of the stuff!) It's a very concentrated styling clay and despite the smell, it works wonders for getting those looks on point! My brother had mentioned that the smell is well worth it, because he loves how well it holds his hair and how it doesn't give off shine. The matte finish is what really sold him! It's Pliable and durable and the 2oz container is actually pretty generous! I have noticed some volume in my brothers hair, as well. The texture and the thickness of the clay must create that extra va-voom! I am impressed and so is my brother. Is the negative I dislike, if any at all, something that is an error in construction & design or is it something the company couldn't possibly control? And, if all else fails, can I do something to alternate or change the ability of this negative? All this and more is considered before I post. I do a lot of shopping on Amazon, so I decided to take the liberty to post reviews on items I think deserve it. Because I want people who are genuinely interested to know more about the product before they commit. Edit 6/26/22: So after a couple weeks of using this product, I noticed that it seems to work better on damp hair. Better yet, after you've rubbed it between your hands, use a little water (no more than a drop, or it will begin to wash off), and mix it between your hands again until it gets really creamy, before applying the clay through your hair. It seems to spread more evenly, and the longevity of the hold has been much better. I've also had an easier time combing it through using this method, and getting the look I want to last longer. Granted, the hold still isn't as strong as they say, but it has been working better for me at least. I've bumped it to 4 stars mostly because I like how it's been making my hair feel, and using this trick has been yielding better results. Will update again if I figure out, or find any other tricks. EDIT 6/16/22: I reduced the star rating from a 5 to a 3 after using it for awhile. While everything in the original review still stands, I would like to add that the hold does not hold up in high humidity or sweat. While my hair didn't fall flat, after some time, I would feel it move, and I could run my fingers through my hair as if I had nothing in it at all. One bright side; the product still on the individual hairs assists with setting everything back in place, whether with a comb or my fingers. It also makes my hair feel soft. If they could keep the natural ingredients and increase the hold, this would get a 5 star from me again. ORIGINAL REVIEW I've seen many reviews complain about the smell, and while the scent is its weakest point, in my opinion, it's really not that bad. Like others have mentioned, it smells like lotion, but considering the ingredients, it makes sense. Giving the clay a light scent of something a little more masculine may do the trick (something woodsy or earthy maybe), but I don't know how that would mess with the formula. Seems to hold pretty good, but not the strongest. It's pretty easy to apply too. I'll review again in a week or so, but as of right now, I would reccomend this.

Perfetta odore molto buono niente a che vedere con il solito odore di vaniglia, cocco ecc... tiene tutto il giorno e non fissa i capelli ma li modella con effetto opaco che non da la sensazione di capello sporco. Si applica bene e si lava facilmente . Provata su capelli corti-medi .
