The material seems to be decent quality for the price. Good thick stitching. It looks nice enough. Comfort is ok. Not thickly padded, but useable. My real problem with it and the reason I am likely sending it back is the overprotective packaging. Usually that is a good thing. But this strap came VERY tightly bundled (folded) with a black plastic tightener and in a wrapped piece of plastic. I thought that was great at first glance. Upon opening it, I found it to have stitching "marks" all over and the shape of the tail part of the strap imprinted diagonally throughout part of the strap. A bad look and one that will not likely come out as it is imprinted pretty deeply. This could easily be resolved with proper packaging and is a shame since they went to so much effort. I am one that expects new to look new without defects/flaws, so it doesn't work for me. Some may not really care. If on stage in the usually dark venues, I doubt anyone would notice it. Again, it's not a flaw I expect on something new, so likely going back. Haven't made a decision as yet. I'd trade it, but I figure many of them will be the same and saw another post of someone with the same issue. They just need to not pull that black plastic binding so tight.EDIT: Ok, I used a cloth rag and an iron set on steam off and on for a half hour or so and managed to get the managed to get the stitching marks and tail shape out of all the black parts (sides). The center part still has all the marks but not "quite" as deeply. I will keep it as it matches my new Ibanez SR1345B so well, but would not order another one unless I could talk to the company direct and get one without the binding around the strap.

This just arrived, so I'll disclaim that if my opinions change after some use, I'll update.From the get go, this strap is very comfortable. I put it on my 11.5 lb 6-string bass and (unlike other, wider straps) it didn't dig in at all.My Strat (pictured) is 10.3 lbs and feels super comfortable on the body.Yeah... its not a full 3" wide. Closer to 2.75, but with the rounded edges it feels as good as the Kliq neoprene one I also use, just not as stretchy.The leather is soft and feels like good quality. It looks like time will weather it well. The build quality looks superb. The stitching is well done and no apparent flaws.For $45 this hits the center mark of a quality strap. I've paid more for less and will attest that I will likely get more of these in the future.

I thought this was black and 3". It was only 2.75" at best and dark brown. It looked good quality but not as padded as I would expect. I returned it because color clashed with my guitar

Soft, comfortable, well made, good looking. A very good value. I have purchased two, one for my Ibanez GB and one for my Michael Kelly Patriot. Two comments: 1. Thanks for the picks but they are sticky and need to be cleaned because they attached with Scotch tape. 2. Packaging is fine but that plastic tie that is used is too tight and it takes quite some time for the "dents" it makes on the strap to fill back in.

Ok. So this has become my absolute favorite strap. It is incredibly comfortable. No matter how heavy a guitar I use it on it rests nicely and doesn't cut in or pinch anywhere. The only drawback is that they tend to use a very thin leather or possibly synthetic leather in places over the padding on the strap and I wish they used a heavier grain for more durability but that's probably how they keep it so soft and comfortable.

I absolutely will never buy another brand of strap again. Legato is going to be my go-to strap from here on out. First off, the craftsmanship is top notch. This strap is absolutely made to a high standard. High quality leather and stitching. It feels like it will last me 100 years. The look is absolutely beautiful. The comfort is like none I have ever felt before in a guitar strap. Amazing product.

I have purchased two of these straps in the last few years. One for my bass and one for my electric guitar. They are extremely comfortable, made from a beautiful soft leather, and come with a cute handwritten post-it with a few guitar picks thrown in. These are awesome straps!

I had purchased one of these straps previously and recently acquired a new bass guitar. I liked the strap, so I purchased another one for the new instrument. Well made and has not shown any signs of wear.
