Did not finish the book. It certainly was not worth my time.I don't know why I keep trying to see this author might write something interesting. Once in a while she accidentally publishes a decent story but that hasn't happened in a few years.I hate books that promise something in their excerpt and the don't deliver.Courtney was so unlikable. She was immature and ungrateful. Ben does so many things for her so that she's safe and instead of thanking him, she gets and throws temper tantrums.Then next hour she goes to his bedroom and says I want you. Talking about mixing signals. She told him that she would not sleep with him earlier and in front of everyone and a little later she wants to have sex with him. Did she suffer from loss of short term memory?Save your money and time.

»»» 3 1/2 stars «««So, if you’ve been reading this series in order, then you’ll remember Ben. Poor, poor, charming, silly, loyal, Ben. He just can’t stay out of trouble.. other people’s trouble. It was surprising to know that he had real feelings for someone other than Piper. Yes, Piper is his best friend and there was no romance there, but honestly he seemed such the playboy, that I was shocked that there was a women in his past and present that he had honest feeling for.Courtney is perfect for Ben. She is EXACTLY who he needs to settle down. Unfortunately, he is in more trouble being with her, but in the end it’s worth it. She has found someone that is there for her. Someone who won’t leave even with the threat of death.

Before Ben is the 3rd book in the Wilde Ways series, it's a romantic suspense with an emphasis on enemies to lovers. This book is action packed with tons of suspense, has great characters, a wonderful plot and a HEA.Ben and Courtney went to law school together and are opposing divorce attorneys. Ben is a playboy and Courtney is a loner and he has always had a crush on her. One night Ben intercepts an attack on her and she takes him home for a "One and Done". The attacks keep coming and Ben decides he will do everything in his power to keep her safe and with him. When the danger escalates and Ben also becomes a target they both will fight to the end to change that "One and Done" to forever.

I liked this story Ben and Courtney are opposing divorce attorneys. They have known each other since law school and unbeknownst to Courtney Ben has always had a crush on her. Courtney tends to steal clear of relationships since she is afraid of being hurt. Problem is she has a stalker and Ben is the one person to help her even if she doesn’t want his help.

SOO INTENSE MIND BLOWING STUFF HAPPENING IN THERE.........HOLY FREAKING SMOKES ALL OF THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN EVERYONE ESPECIALLY BETWEEN BEN AND COURTNEY LOVE IT OFF THE FREAKING CHARTS AMAZING:)))) AND EVERYTHING THAT THEY'VE BEEN THROUGH OH MY BUT IN THE END EVERYTHING WORKED OUT PERFECTLY FOR THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE MARRIED AND ARE PARTNERS IN WORK AND EVERYTHING ELSE AND THEIR LIVING HAPPILY EVER AFTER TOGETHER FOREVER😊😊😊

I need a few more books like this one. Just enough suspense blended in with the romance to make me actually think about the plot. "Before Ben" by Cynthia Eden puts together two upcoming attorneys, Ben and Courtney who enjoy sparring in the courtroom. After a chance meeting at a bar, things change for the pair. Courtney gets attacked and Ben comes to the rescue. But wait, who is the perv and who is behind the harassment? Ben puts security on the case and turns up a lot of past history for Courtney. I'm ready for the next read.

OMG I loved this this story line between Ben and Courtney and how they got together they both being lawyers and she was been attacked by people who were after her because of her father and she didn’t even know her father and she and Ben were trying to figure it out who was going after her and Ben and Cole too in the end they got together and got married and opened a law practice together to Thanks for an amazing book and Cynthia is an amazing author

This is about a man who hides behind his playboy ways, unconsciously unaware that he has loved a woman since college. But she only knows him as her adversary in the courtroom and playboy with the ladies. But he’s so much more than that. Gotta love when the hero knows the heroine is the one for him and would do everything in his alpha ability to keep her safe and if God is good hopefully with himEden weaves a brilliantly told story complete with twists and turns. The reader feels connected with the characters and can feel their love for each other flowing out of the pages.

Cynthia Eden is one of my go to authors, and she didn’t disappoint me with this book. I found myself happily absorbed from the get go – Ben in particular had me eager to read more. He seriously rocked – a veneer of charm, good looks and his dimples give people the impression he is a super easy-going guy, but boy are they are wrong, this is one hot guy who is marvellously protective and willing to do anything for those he cares about. I loved how he never doubted anything Courtney said – unlike the cops and her neighbour. His unwavering belief in her and his desire for her were hot.Ben loves battling wits with Courtney in court, but he also wants her fiercely, he has from the very first moment he saw her at law school. In contrast, Courtney has spent years hiding her crush and believing Ben was never serious any time he asked her out.Courtney has been on her own for a long time, after her mother died and her dad ditched her in the welcoming arms of the foster care system, and since then she has made her way on her own, becoming a kickass divorce attorney. She’s kept herself away from any serious relationships, keeping things superficial to protect herself. Yet one night with Ben and the more time she spends with him, she finds that he has wormed himself under her skin and into her heart.Simon’s teasing during his, Ben’s and Courtney’s little B & E had me smiling. This was a fun read that I devoured pretty fast, thank goodness for a super quiet work shift, and a fab boss who doesn’t mind me doing my own thing when no one is around.It’s been a while since I picked up a Cynthia Eden book to read/re-read, that combined with the characters in this book made this a fab read. This is definitely going in my re-read pile, one buy, I don’t regret.

Ben is just what a strong loyal man should be. Courtney is the girl he has been in love with forever. When Courtney finds herself the target of a stalker Ben is right there to save the day.This is an amazing and well written story and one I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

Before Ben was a fantastic read. That had the perfect mix of mystery, suspense and romance; and it really kept me guessing. Plus, I found it extremely hard to put down and very engaging. Which is why I would happily recommend it to others.

Not a romance - too much violence. Not a thriller - too many holes in the plot. The only saving grace was the characters.

Through the previous books I really thought that Ben was cute but very juvenile. But he picks up his game, and gets serious about the woman he loves. He’s smart and he puts it all on the line where family and friends are concerned. Courtney does what we all do when we hurt and feel less than lovable, but in the end she screws up her courage and grabs hold of the man she loves. Can’t wait to see what Julia gets up to.
