Ergo Can Opener with Silicone Handles, Black

I've had one of these for many, many years and was very happy with it. I'm pleased to say the quality is just as good.

Pricier than many options, but worth it. The magnet lid grabber is a nice feature. But the real reason to purchase this is how smoothly it opens cans.

This can opener is awesome!! Well built & super easy to use….even on really large cans!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Would have given it a 5-star review, but because it has to be dried after use to avoid rusting (my old one did that), and also because the magnet that removes the top of each open can also tries to pick up other utensils in the kitchen drawer where I store it, or tries to remove the top of a can before it's fully cut-thru (when I'm not even trying to remove the top at all!!), I give it a 4. Still it's better than any other brand out there.

Best manual can opener I've ever had.

The compression fit handles were loose and fell off. Had to glue them back on to make it functional. Quality not what it was back in the day.

Second one of these. Last one lasted 18 years. New one has the same problem as the old, the rubber handles slip off their posts. Other than that it works great and I'll probably write my next review in 18 years or so.

Sturdy. Cuts well. Comfortable in my hand. Some have had issues with the magnet. Mine was missing but I found it stuck on another part of the opener. It hadn't been attached and that is fine for me. If you get it wet, especially the gears, dry it right away. The gears are carbon steel so they are sharp and sturdy but carbon steel will rust if left wet. Keep the blades oiled with a safe, possibly edible oil and you should be fine.

I was actually surprised with the quality. I am happy with my purchase. I can now open cans very smoothly.

I normally used to pay the highest price for optimum quality. This product offers a very good quality for a very cheap priceIn that specific case, don't pay more and buy this one

Durable, sturdy, might be able to use it to break a door down and still work. Opens cans like a knife through butter. Nothing to see (or complain about) here. Move along. (A little Star Wars humour.)
