This is a very small welder and I had concerns that it wouldn't have any power/duty at all. I needn't have worried.Welding was part of my job for 30 years before I retired, I just needed a light / medium duty welder for projects in the garage.I used it to make an angle iron frame work with 20+ x 2.5mm rods. It was a joy to use and didn't falter.The earth and electrode clamps are strong.The mask and chipping hammer are cheap and cheerful but the welder is great.Based on the way it performed on my first project I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it as a light/medium duty welder. I'm delighted.

OK people,! I bought this welder yesterday. Needed one as my stick welder blew up.I been welding for 30 years. This is a real good unit. Real small. Didn't blow the fuses and does everything I need including welding 2 nuts to raise my tank up. There is no lag and the best part is there's no need to tap and hope. Hold it anywhere near, and the arc lights up. In fact its better than my old unit which was becoming a pain in the arse. I've even welded some stainless.It has a strap so you can carry it. It came with a pointless welding shield, but hey you can't have everything. The box it came in is cool as well. Very very nice. Top.marks.

This is an excellent little welder, well built and with a good duty cycle, this thing is tiny for the amount of power. Amazing value for money.

Great for small welding jobs. Ive used it quite a lot for small welding projects on steel up to 4mm thickness and it does a very good weld without cutting out at all.

needed a welder for a few little jobs, looked at standard arc welders but then came across this little unit.Its a great price and its size is unbelievably small but still performs incredibly well.Due to its small size it can be operated on the bench top and stored away in its provided storage and carry case.Controls are fine enabling accurate adjustments, set up and got welding in about 2 mins from opening the box - i am not a pro welderThe hammer and face mask included arent the best but i managed to find an auto-darkening helmet on Amazon for £9.99 and its superb.Would i recommend it - yes definitely

Firstly the service and delivery received from Union Mart UK was excellent two days to the north of Scotland . Now to the product which was a SMINI-140 amp welder, although small and compact in size it is very well made and produced good welds on the first small project I used it for. Just one small negative would be that the earth lead clamp could do with opening wider although this is easy to overcome. Welding mask provided is not much use at all and will need replacing with an upgrade, but these points made would recommend the product as a good buy.

I had never welded anything before, so I can’t tell you how this compares with other, larger machines. What I can tell you is that it’s super compact (very light to carry around and easy to store and comes in a storage case) and that as a complete beginner, I had no difficulty striking and maintaining an arc. My weld was not a thing of beauty (user issue, not the machine) but the break in the lawnmower frame is fixed and holding, so all good. I did invest in an auto-dimmable visor rather than use the shield which came with the machine (if nothing else, it keeps ahand free). Based on my limited experience, very impressed and would recommend - there are much more experienced reviewers, so read their reviews as well.
