13 Star 1776 Stencil（10.5 x 14.82 inch ）for Painting on Wood, Walls, Fabric, Airbrush, More | Reusable Mylar Template

I decided to have a go at making a 37" x 19.5" Betsy Ross flag by ripping down a 1" x 10" x 10ft piece of pine into 37" x 1.5" strips, scorching each strip with a propane torch, staining each appropriately, mounting them to four vertical 1.5" wide strips with brad nails and glue and then hand engraving the stars and 1776 with a Dremel, followed by 3 coats of polyurethane.I think it came out pretty good for a first attempt!Using the Betsy Ross stencil, I marked the area for the edge of the blue stain, using a utility knife blade (the blade was later used as a mask in the groove to apply the stain and avoid bleeding). For the stars and 1776, I used a pencil to trace the outlines then used my Dremel with a fine engraving tool to first follow the pencil lines, then remove the stained wood inside that outline. Being careful and with a steady hand, the engraving was actually straightforward and easier than I expected.I have now been asked to make a smaller flag and so will have to buy another size of stencil!Couldn't have done it without this fine product - certainly recommended for your 37" x 19.5" flag project. It is well cut and will last a long time.
