Q: What's the width of the neck at the first fret?

The FA 15 N has a very comfortable nut width of 1.69" (43 mm). Many Nylon or Classical guitars are 2" wide at the nut and can be hard to manage for new players or those with small hands. A not so wide nut, nylon strings and shorter scale make for a instrument that is as fun to play as it is easy.

Q: Did this come with a certificate of authentication?

I bought mine as an open box. It has a a sticker inside the guitar which says it's Fender. I'm sorry I wasn't more help. If you do purchase, I suggest purchasing a separate case. The Fender case is very flimsy and ripped.

This guitar has a matte finish.

Q: Does this have a port where you can plug in a wire for amplifier?

No, it isn't electric acoustic.
