Amazing how much better my Makita power planer works with sharp blades!

I installed these in a DeWalt planer that had the original blades in it for at least a decade of occasional use. Started rebuilding a wooden boat this spring and mowed down a couple of hidden steel fasteners. I knew there was a chance of hitting some additional hidden fasteners, so while I needed new and sharp blades, I didn't want to spend a fortune on them. These a very easily installed single-piece blades and they are sharp. Used them and what a difference. Like a hot knife through a rotten wooden boat transom. You won't be disappointed. Installed new carbide blades, fit perfectly and are sharp. Tested planer and it makes such a huge difference over the standard steel blades I got that had been well used.

Quicker to dull than some, but also better than some.

Took a bit of time to get these blades adjusted properly but once set up they work very well. I expect to get a lot if life from the carbide blades.

Was easy to install in my dewalt hand plainer. The setup is nice using the tools provided with the plainer. Less than 15 minutes and smooth plaining is a breeze.

After a few weeks of usage, the blade is dull again. I thought tungsten would be much stronger than the factory steel piece, but it is about the same in terms of durability. Still, great value for replacement blade.

Exact replacement. I use my DeWalt power planer almost daily in my wood shop. These fit perfectly and have held up very well so far.
