Easy to Install
My old American Standard (Lexington) needed a repair so I did my research and bought this one. You can find videos on Youtube if you're not knowledgeable. The installation is pretty easy and simple. My toilet stopped running randomly after the installation.

Worked great with the old part.
I used the parts in this kit to keep my ‘91 Lexington in top condition. The black plastic contraption did not work for my application, it didn’t stay open long enough after a flush. Rather than try and tune it, I removed it and installed the new parts around the original part (it says 47107-07). It easily popped into the new lower assembly and rubber flapper. I’m not sure if you can just buy the rubber but this approach worked for me. It could be as good as new but I’m not really sure, because the toilet is 30 years old! A true replacement kit was hard to find and more expensive, so I was very satisfied with the end result using this approach.

Good base, not so sure about the float
I needed this kit because the base (that attaches to the tank) seemed to be worn out and leaking, causing repeated refills in the tank. I replaced the base and it's now working great. Unfortunately, the float doesn't seem to work properly for this tank. It doesn't stay up long enough to allow the bowl to do a full flush. I replaced the float with the old float and put the new stopper on it and it now works correctly. I don't know if this is because there may be a different assembly with a different float that allows a longer drain time, but this one is not working properly for me. Otherwise, the base did exactly what i needed it to do.

AS 047250-0070A for 316 2006
Wow, I searched Flush Valve Assembly for the AS 316 2006 Tank and found this.Box came with all parts necessary.**Installation1. Close the water valve.2. Flush the tank and clean the bottom and mark anything with pencil before removing the old unit.3. Remove the old one and dry the tank and wipe any moisture and dry the area with hair dryer.4. Place the black rubber seal and place the entire new unit with screw/brass wing nut attached on top of the rubber seal very carefully.5. Touch the brass wing nut with a finger just to guide while tightening 3 screws.6. Make sure all brass wing nut (opposit of the screw hole part) bite the edge of the tank hole opening.(Do not overtighten it might crack the tank)7. Less than 10 min. a no-leak working valve unit again. Actually I spent more time adjusting the lift chain length.Single light lever push and the flapper opens up all the way back and holds it until there is a sure flush and shuts. ( I did the sigle toilet paper flush testing and it disappers with right amount of water back in the bowl. )Strongly recommend. Exactly what I needed for a 1950s toilet
Worked perfectly in a 1955 one-piece toilet. Total repair time under 10 minutes. The only hard part was unscrewing the old one, I ended up using a socket wrench with a very long extension and a Phillips bit at the end. Depending on how the chain attaches to the flush handle you might need to reuse the end piece on your old chain.

Born to Leak?
Parts for the American Standard lo-profile commodes are relatively expensive. This part was intended to replace a deteriorating flush valve that wouldn't seal properly. The new valve is somewhat better, but I still hear it cycle (when water in tank gets low) at odd times during the day/night.On the positive side, this valve is well made, and easy to install.

Stopped the toilet leak
This was used as a replacement in a American Standard toilet for which I can’t remember the model. Found the part number by browsing AS toilets. The old piece had worn out and I noticed my water bill had increased by $7 in a month, so I watched the inside and could see a small swill of water coming down the side of the bowl. Traced it back to the white plastic/nylon ring becoming worn and the rubber flapper not getting a good seal, thus allowing the small flow of water leaking. Easy install, screws into plastic and just do one or two turns into the brass tabs. Put the rubber O ring on the nylon and insert into hole in toilet. Turn the brass tabs so they catch under the porcelain and then tighten them. Snap the flapper gizmo into the bracket and attach the chain to the flush lever. 20 minutes and DONE

Flushes like new again.
This fit my toilet tank exactly. Took about ten minutes to remove the old valve and install this new one. I found that the old valve, purchased at HD, was not the correct valve. The lift chain did not line up with the flush lever. This new one does line up and works much better. The toilet is working like brand new again. This valve has the lift chain fastened to the side of the counter balance cup, where the HD valve was fastened to the top. The HD one was the wrong valve for my toilet.
