Perfect for card making.
Very nice quality! Easy to use. I love it that the tip is retractable. Nice size works very well on the tiniest of holes. Great price!

great for paper crafts
I've had several of these paper picks over the years. I often add embroidery to paper crafts, especially greeting cards. I keep a craft pick in each of my project containers. I especially like that the picks are retractable so you can carry them anywhere. I trace designs lightly in pencil (you can use stencil) and then punch holes for embroidering. Hints for use: if a design is complicated, punch one part, embroider, and then punch another part. To help spacing, for example on a small heart, punch top and bottom "corners" and punch the middle of the curves at the top of the heart. It will help you judge spacing. If you embroider something thin like a flower stem, alternate where you punch so the paper doesn't tear out. Card stock 65 or 110 weight works well

Pretty good for making signature holes, but the metal can bend easily
I got this to put together my first junk journal. While it made the holes ok for me to put my needle and string through, I ended up bending the metal. The metal tip comes out by way of moving the retractable button thingy, which is nice as it retracts into itself so no chance of poking yourself unexpectedly. So while it's easy for me to make my signature holes, I'll need to watch that I don't put too much pressure on it or the metal will probably bend even more. Who knew I was so strong...lol. But for $5 it's a keeper. I looked into buying an awl, but the price on those was much more, and I don't need to make my signature holes that often, so this is good enough for my needs. If you make thick junk journals you may want to go with an awl, which can be found at any Lowe's. They're made for tougher applications, so will be better than this one should you need to use it a lot.

Easy to use, but not as delicate as I'd like.
It's easy to pick this up with one hand and extend the piercer with the thumb of that hand. Good for when your other hand is busy holding down whatever it is you intend to use the piercer on. The point is sharp, but not as sharp as other paper piercers I have used. Also, the shaft of the metal piercer itself is thicker than others. This makes it sturdy, but it also means it creates a slightly larger hole. This might not matter to most people, but if it does, you should know. All in all, I like it, but I liked my Making Memories one better. I used that one for around 2 decades, before the tip finally broke off. I also like the one I bought from Close to My Heart better. I like having two, though, so I can keep them in separate spots, so its still good to have this one.

The Ultimate of Pointy Tools
This retractable pointy tool makes it easy to stay safe by simply retracting the needle. It's soft grip makes it comfortable to hold for long periods at a time. Because the needle is tapered, it even works for my paper embroidery projects. I highly recommend this tool for any project. Because it is bright red, it's easy to spot on my craft table. I love not having to keep my eye on a cap in a separate piece like most pointy tools because they always get lost. This is the best pointy tool I've ever owned.

This a wonderful awl.
This awl is great. I am so happy it retracts. I had lost my other- its a scary thing to lose when they don't retract too btw... I use this for my business as a tool to make holes in my hand sewn products to set the snaps in and use my snap press to set after. I constantly need it in my work and its held up great to regular almost daily use. With the amount I use it, I hope the retractable slider on the side doesn't snap off- kinda wish that whole piece was also metal... but for now its golden!

Parfait pour le scrapbooking et l'avantage est que l'on peut rentrer la pointe afin d'éviter les blessures. Je recommande cet objet

Great quality, easy to use, bought as a replacement for one I already had but lost. Lost one turned up the next day so now I have 2 but they’re great so I’m not overly bothered.
