4x Haribo PIRATOS each Bag 200g (German Import)

My partner and I both love salty licorice, so I surprised him with these. DANG they weren't kidding. Not sure I would buy them again but he likes them. I like them, sorta? One... woof that's salty. Kinda good, kinda gross, not sure, let's have another. Two... yep aaaand there's the ammonia. That's probably enough but maybe one more. Three... why did I have another one, again? Did a cat pee on these? It buuuurns! This 4 pack is going to last a long time, lol. I guess if you want a candy that you definitely won't overeat, these might fit the bill. I like strong flavors but I though some of the other reviews were overreacting. Nope, these are the Carolina Reapers of salty licorice. Order at your own risk (I say, while I eat another one).

I am an old Dane and I grew up eating salty licorice. I now reside in the US but once in a while, the old urge for Piratos come back and with them, high blood pressure. Small price to pay!

Love it

Grew up with European salted licorice from childhood. Salted licorice available in US from other sources, but other typically in Kilo quantities. Like now being able to purchase regular consumer sizes as sold to consumers European countries.

I love Piretos, but these were different than others I’ve had previously. The salt and flavor isn’t as strong as I was hoping it would be, and these candies were softer than expected.

I have been a fan of licorice candy all my life. I have also been a fan of Haribo candy all my life. Never had one I didn’t like. This candy is not like any licorice I have ever had before as it is so heavily laden with salt it is inedible. I wanted to return the three remaining bags, however the Amazon policy is no grocery returns. Buyers be warned!

These are OK for my black licorice salty candy fix for now, but I thought these were the much stronger "Super Piratos."
