Sturdy skates
My first pair of skates were from this manufacturer. They were solid skates back then and they’re still solid how. We bought two pairs for children in the family (aged 3 and 6), and they put those skates through a test. Dragged them, scuffed them, wore them in the house, wore them outside, dropped them down the stairs, karate kicked in them, you name it and they’ve held up. Both children are able to strap on and take off the skates without assistance. They love them, and we love how simple they are and how they keep them busy for hours. They will not be rolling around my house on skates to confirm because I’d never allow it, but their parents claim that the wheels don’t damage the wood floors. Still I wouldn’t recommend indoor home use unless you have an unfinished basement.

“The Best Gift Ever!” - My 4-year-old
I purchased these skates for my 4-year-old during the Corona lockdown. He is a first-time skater and LOVES them! After an hour or so practicing on the carpet inside, he was chomping at the bit to take these bad boys for a real test drive outside.Padded everywhere, I let my precious baby loose on the sidewalk, feeling like a Mama bird watching her baby fly for the first time. These skates have the perfect amount of wheel spin for a beginner. I’ve seen plenty of skates that the child practically just walks in them. These allow the child to actually learn how to roller skate! The high top ankle support is great and feels very sturdy. My son can get them on and off himself. His current shoe size is 11 and he’ll have plenty of room to grow in these. Adjusting the size was easy!Highly recommend for new skaters and kids who aren’t interested in just walking on wheels.

Fine for starters
These are fine skates for undiscerning beginners. Worth the usual selling price for sure - I started my 5yo in them, and he’s still going at 6 1/2.I find he needs them adjusted to one above his street shoe size - so when I bought them he was a 12, and did fine with the size 1 setting. Now he’s a 1, and asked me to make them bigger - he’s comfortable at “2.”I do recommend you consider changing out the wheels for a softer version - the wheels they come with are quite hard, which is rough outside, and skitters indoors. The skates use a standard 8mm (608) bearing, and I got a good fit with 57mm wheels in a 78a hardness (see picture). You could get light-up wheels too! You’ll want to buy a set of bearings for the new wheels, if they don’t come with them, or a bearing tool to get out the ones in the stock wheels for reuse. My only complaint is that the plastic ratchet straps seem to be stripping - won’t stay on a tight setting. This is probably what will end their useful life, but it’s going on 2 years so again, they’re worth the $ starting out. Next time I’ll choose a higher-end skate, but it’s a gamble when you don’t know if your kid will really take to skating!

Great skate your little one will enjoy learning to skate in.
I bought two pairs of these skates for my 6 and 4 year olds. They both had been given some hand-me-down skates recently but they were about 3 sizes too big but that didn't stop my girls from trying to skate in them. As such, I decided to purchase these as they had good reviews and they were inexpensive and they would be adjustable until my daughters grow into the larger skates they were given. The Good: These skates are adjustable easy to put on and the boot goes up high enough to give good stability for the child learning to skate. The bad: based upon the work my daughters are putting these through I would say their durability is OK. I think they will last fine while each of them uses them, but they may not have many miles left on them once our youngest daughter is old enough to use them. But for the price this is not a bit deal and didn't warrant deducting a star.Overall: My daughters love these skates and can now practice skating without me or my wife holding their hands. Great purchase and fit our needs.

Excellent Starter Skates!
My 4 & 6 year old got these for Christmas and have them set on size 10 & 12. I wasn’t sure how the sizing would be, but it’s hasn’t been a problem and is so easy to switch when they’re first deciding how it feels. They LOVE them! They skate all over the house & are able to get them on & off on their own. This was a perfect gift for busy boys! Great quality. They’ll last a long time!

Wow my kid actually loves this.
This was a Covid purchase. My 6yr old wanted/needed to do something beside bike-ride. I purchased these roller-skates with every intention of returning it in a few days.4 months later he still uses it.I am not sure how, but these skates are very easy to use.He is able to put them on properly and tightly and boom go and start skating with no assistance. The only issue is just that the fit gets a little too tight after 2hrs of skating. But to me that is just a sign that he needs to take a break. In its first week the break some how popped off. But after some physical brute force I was able to put it back in.That was the only time that happened so its all good.

Great quality once you figure out what size you need.
A lot of confusion on the sizes, so here’s the deal. The “SMALL” is adjustable from small kids shoe sizes 10-13 (J10-J13). The “MEDIUM” is adjustable from bigger kids shoe size 1-4. Other than the size confusion, which could be cleared up with better information on the product description, these are actually REALLY great quality. I definitely recommend.
